The Final Count Down

Hello Nomad friends!   I dislike time zones in that they require maths!  But I do quite enjoy chasing the sun on the last day of the month, trying to enter the last few challenges.  It's already tomorrow in Australia, but the european challenges are maybe still open and after those we can look to north america.  Make some time good friends, chase the sun.  Here's a guy who rarely chases the sun, and after all those years of undeadness it's no wonder his brain needs a reboot.......

This is some last minute inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Use Some Words Challenge.  There are some gorgeous entries in the linky but there is plenty of room for more!!  I've used another favourite Carmen's Veranda sentiment and Lost Coast Designs cute and cuddly Dracula...  The sad news is this sentiment appears to be out of stock at the moment.  The good news is there are NEW fun sentiments at Carmen's Veranda!!! Yeah!!!!!!  Hop over and check em out.

I'm having a bit of a pink period so I stamped Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background on pale pink card with Cactus Flower archival ink.  I stamped the sentiment onto the panel and Dracula on a separate piece of card, fussy cut him and coloured with distress markers.

Very Very Merry

Hello Nomad friends.  I wanted to join a few challenges and suddenly the month has just dissappeared!  So here's a little candy coloured Christmas card.

The Lift Challenge wanted die cut words, and Memory Box wanted die cuts, so I went with Memory Box Merry Christmas Noted Script die and lots of colourful scraps.  My double sided tape was very sticky.  Maybe it's melting in this heat!  At least we have had a bit of rain at last and it is cooling down a bit as well.

Christmas Easel Scene

Hello Nomad friends.  I can't believe how the month is whizzing by again.  There has been much garden time this month and the time spent watering is paying off with a few tasty vegies starting to mature.  We have a serious drought on going, but can't complain really about blue skies and warm temps.  So I made a Christmas card.  Of course!!!!!

I used a deer/tree scene die and cut it from brown bazzill card.  Then I covered it with holographic embossing powder for gloss and bling.  

and turned it into an easel card.  The strip with the embossed Happy Christmas (Lost Coast Designs stamp) is what the brown cardstock looked like before I hit it with the holographic embossing powder.

Tulip Time

Hello Nomad friends.  I made some Tulip artist trading coins using Gummiapan tulip die and lots and lots of scraps.  Artist Trading Coins are 2.5" diameter and a very fun size for mini art.

I cut pink bases, some green scraps for background highlights and then lots of bits of pinks for the tulip heads.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Treeeeeeeeeee

Hello Nomad friends.  It rained!!  Not a whole huge amount, but it has freshened the place up and cooled things down a little.  I took advantage and meandered into the craft room to make some Christmas cards featuring trees.

 

This is the second time I have used this fun Studio Light die set.  I kept it super simple this time, just adding a Papirdesign God Jul (happy Christmas) on top of my pearlescent green ink edged panels.  There's quite a lot of bits to cut, but it's quite cute and folds flat for posting.

Then I had an ugly sweater moment

I've used Papirdesign dies and various tree patterned papers.  I added half-pearls to the little green tree on the sweater and the sentiment says christmas hug.

Hugs and Chocolate

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I have another wordy offering for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Use Some Words challenge.   Carmen's Veranda have so many awesome sentiments.  This one is a favourite of all my favourites.

I used Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension stamped with some summer colours on the top 2/3rds and brown at the bottom.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda 8 Million Dollars sentiment with black ink and then stamped Lost Coast Designs Grunge Cat on white card, fussy cut and added her.

 

Since my stamps were still inky I decided to decorate the envelope as well.

Friends Forever

Hello Nomad friends.  Time for a new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and this time we are all about WORDS.  We want to see your stamped anythings featuring lots of words, big words, words as the focus.  Carmen's Veranda have so many awesome sentiments, and there are some new ones as well, so if you haven't browsed them recently do pop over and take a look.  

I've kept it simple with one of my favourite Carmen's Veranda sentiments, Ghost Friends, and the ever dynamic Gus!  I had a bit of a genius moment and used the bottom of Carmen's Veranda Rocking Horse upside down to stamp the rose covered mat Gus is sitting on.  What do you mean it says cowboy!!!  Happy accident!!!!

Bridge of Dreams

Hello Nomad friends.  Seems my plan to post more often is a bit of a bust.  The weather has been lovely, although today's 28°C in the shade (41°C in the sun!!) did put a damper on most outdoor activities.  Watering the plants and me sitting in the shade were high on the agenda.  There was a brisk breeze, which made sitting in the shade pretty pleasant, but put paid to my intentions to do some outdoor paper crafting.  Even so I have managed to get these artist trading coins finished.

I've used Gummiapan stamps and dies.  Aren't those Troll kids adorable and I really like the stone bridge too.  I also used three stamps from the 2021 advent calendar in the background.

Hello Nomad friends.  I have made a wedding card using brusho's and Paper Discovery dies.  

I thought it would be fun to have the engagement and the wedding on the same card so after I made my brusho background I used the eclipse technique for the engagement couple.  Then I cut the bridal couple from black card and the sentiment from silver mirror card.

You Call It A Clapperboard.............

Hello Nomad friends.  There's a new fun challenge over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and it's called Mini Me.  We want to see smaller stamped makes like ATC, inchies, bookmarks, tags etc.  I made a tag using Carmen's Veranda's Alfred Hitchcock Standing and the wonderful Givashitometer sentiment.

 

I always wondered what that was called!
I've used Lost Coast Designs Grunge Border 2" on the tag with pink archival ink.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the tag but Alfred was stamped on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  A bit of fancy wool and done.

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the second of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  If you like sending and receiving real handmade cards this is the place to be.  We hit a bit of a milestone this month, over 4000 cards sent and received!!!   4,005 bits of handmade love winging their way around the planet since 2009.  So if you have been thinking about joining the fun why not hop in for June.  The sign up closes 6th June.  This is the card I made for Dee in Kenya using the colours, sketch, ripped edges and friendship options.

Not sure the producer of the lovely moon and stars paper, it came in a Simon Says Stamp kit.  The star and sentiment stamps are both from Crafty Individuals.  This sentiment is one of my favourite to use on my CCC cards.  We have Jo to thank for the blue yellow colour combo this month and it was a very popular colour scheme.  It always makes me think of clear summer skies, blue oceans and warm beaches.
