Leaves and Butterflies

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, October!!   One of my favourite months!!

I actually like the autumn season with it's gorgeous colours and all the bright harvest vegetables, but the shorter nights and cooler days do make me want to cosy down with warm blankets and hot chocolate!!!   It also zaps the creativity a bit so this months moodboard at the Rubber Dance Blog gives some great ideas for themes and colours.  I also like to look at challenge themes to see if they will spark ideas.  This month the Lift Challenge has an interesting technique of stamping a repeating pattern and then colouring by stamping with another stamp.  Well, I have plenty of stamps!  So after a little thought this happened.

So cute!!!   I used the little butterfly from Rubber Dance Things With Wings with the small leaf cluster from Rubber Dance Carved Collection #4 and the sentiment from Rubber Dance Think Again set. I stamped the small butterfly in an ascetically pleasing pattern then stamped the leaf cluster on each butterfly with Dandelion archival ink .  I trimmed the panel, edged with yellow ink, stamped the sentiment and mounted on a cream card base.

Thanks to the Lift Challenge for a fun technique.

I hope you feel inspired to get out your stamps and create something today.

Here's the lovely October moodboard, although you can link any new makes that feature Rubber Dance stamps in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge.  See you there!!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

  3. Duck!! That's what we have to do in the paddocks when the Bees swarm, we have a couple of nests and they are terrifying in flight. But it's a great card for our theme, many thanks for joining us In the Garden at Allsorts challenge this week.
