Blue Is The Colour Of My True Love's Hare

Hello.  Welcome.  I couldn't resist this Unity kit, all because of this rabbit........

How adorable is that!!  I started this project in blue because HLS wanted blue for their CAS challenge.  It became obvious that it wasn't going to be CAS LOL, but then I spotted their mixed media challenge, where they wanted rip or tear.  What a fun idea.

I die cut a tag in navy blue using Stamplorations Luggage Tag die and added pale blue chalk ink through Stamplorations Stars Align stencil.  Then I ripped my tag in three places.

Accentuated the rips and then distressed the edges.

I stamped a Unity heart stamp on pale blue card using Dare2BArtzy Midnight Blue ink.  I die cut using the tag die, layered it behind my ripped layer and distressed the edges in the ripped areas.  The bunny is from Unity KOTM 1/17, stamped, embossed, fussy cut and coloured with brusho's and pigment inks.  Then I added another tag behind, medium blue edged with the midnight blue ink.  You can just see it behind the hearts layer.

Ooh, wanted to make a two layer tag for ages.  Animal lovers beware!!!

Yes, I'm sad to say two bunnies lost their ears so I could fussy cut the roses to put at the top and the bottom of this tag.  I stamped the heart from the KOTM 1/17 in Stormy Sky distress ink and then the sentiment from Unity's Anastasia (Believes) in Midnight Blue.  I should have stamped it a bit lower, clear of the heart.  It reads

'she decided to schedule some time each day to be
overwhelmed by the sheer amazingness of it all'

The silver heart is a metal charm from Korthobby.no.  I added blue rhinestones to it and some blue wool and silver thread to finish.

Thanks for dropping by. Hugz
