Hello. Welcome. So the old year is rapidly winding it's way to the end. It seems not long ago it was the New Year. So full of promise and expectation. I hope that it has been a good one for you and yours and the happy times outweigh and overwhelm the sad.
I wanted to join the Mark's Finest Paper Challenge where this week they want to see a mainly blue card. So as I was hunting for blue scraps to use, putting my resolution to use up the scraps into practice, I saw my altered playing card deck. I have been working on these since Sept 2014 (that's a bit embarassing isn't it). Claudine did hers in 6 Months. Anyway if you want to see some of the others click on the Altered Playing Card label. Actually the very first post has quite an amusing anecdote about a sheep!! I finished the last card a couple of weeks ago but still have the two jokers to finish. So here's one, all in blue.......
I hadn't gessoed the jokers and I decided not to bother since the backs were blue and white. I just built up a sort of plaid pattern with paper tape.
I coloured some paper with blue brusho's and stamped and embossed the tiger from MFP's Tiger set and fussy cut. The sentiment is from Rubber Dance Sarcastic Superpower set. I don't use these enough!! But I thought it kinda suited the tiger image.
Right, now I'm off to make a fruit salad to take to a party tonight and a couple of other things to finish. Hopefully the other joker will be finished soon as well. I have an idea LOL....... Thanks for dropping by. Hugz

Very cool! Great idea to alter a deck of cards. They aren't expensive and when you're down, you have a fantastic project. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
