Hello.  Welcome.  Still trying to find something book themed for the Craft Barn Challenge.  I know, book paper, but I wanted a book stamp!  So I dug through the 'little used' stamp box and found an Ex Libris stamp by Katzelkraft.  I stamped and fussy cut the books and they fell onto my desk upside down and looked exactly like a mini tornado.

See!  Exactly like a mini tornado!!  And then there was 50's Lilith by Tickled Pink.  She has been lurking for a while waiting for the perfect moment.  So, since it tis the season to say Boo! and also to go back to school (witch schools start late to take full advantage of Halloween and dark evenings)  I decided she fitted perfectly.  Lesson 101 - book levitation

My black base card was cut with Stamplorations Crazy Stitched Rectangle die and I smeared the edges with Taylored Expressions Sugar Cube white pigment ink.  Love this.  It's new.  I was desperately looking for a good white ink and I can definitely recommend this one.  Lovely juicy pad and great coverage.  If you are thinking it looks a bit washy that's cos I smeared it to get my chalkboard look.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Boobed Again

Hello.  Welcome.  The cue word at CASology is Support.  This card is a style I have made before, you may have seen them around blogland, I haven't made one for a while, I've never blogged this shape card, but it was what sprang to mine with the word support and the fact that this month is breast cancer awareness month.

I used Sizzix Scallop Heart die to cut my base card.  Then I cut a piece of pearlised paper with a flock pattern using the same die.  I cut the curves to give me the bra shape and added a bit of lace, cos every girl needs pretty support.  I've used a thin strip of the same patterned paper to make my little breast cancer ribbon and added a piece of pink embroidery thread so it looks like a necklace.  Wife of the headless horseman maybe??

I wanted a sentiment, so looked through my Unity sentiments and found a few I thought were suitable.  The one that works best for the Support theme was this one

Sorry, a little glare off the pearlised paper.  The sentiment reads 'on my bad days you are always there to lift me up'  Maybe this would work as a card for a nurse or carer.  But there were a few more as well.....

'thinking of you'
'I hope you feel beautiful today'
'in your darkest moments let beauty shine through'
'hold on to your truth, your faith, your peace, your you'

And because we like being thrifty crafters I used the remains of the patterned paper on the backside

This is the backside.  Bwahahahahahaha

Traffic Light Cats and Neon Rainbows

Hello.  Welcome.  New challenge over at Stamplorations........use dies.  Cool.  Love dies.  Strangely enough, I was playing with some cats which had made me think of traffic lights and I figured, since I already had the red, amber and green, I might as well go the whole rainbow.  Which perfectly suited the inspiration picture cos I was feeling very neon.  Me thinks, tis after midnight forsooth....... bwahahahahahahaha

Love this Cheery Lynn Whimsical Halloween Cat.  I cut the cat three times from black card and cut the eyes, nose and ears from neon green, orange and red card.  I die cut a black card base using Stamplorations Crazy Stitched Rectangle large die.  Then I used Stamplorations Stitched Hill dies to cut the yellow, blue, indigo and violet layers.  This is going to be my man's birthday card, and it's safe to tell you that cos he never looks at my blog LOL.  But I think any cat lover, male or female, would like this.

Witchy Who and Pumpkin the Cat

Hello.  Welcome.  The tutorial challenge at MFP this week is Fall Leaves with Vellum and you use chalk.  I don't have chalk.  So let's skip it.  Then I was outside today and saw a hopscotch grid on the pavement.  Eureka!!  Raid the kids box.  I found a very sad collection of white, a bit of pink, orange and yellow and some yucky looking greens.  Perfect!!

So here we are.  Witchy Who and her cat Pumpkin.  Well, he's orange, so it seemed appropriate.  This is a very small card!!  It's going to be attached to a bottle of wine potion for that special night.  Bwahahahahaha.  The witch, cat and leaf I used for the background are all from MFP Halloween Selections.  I stamped the leaf repeatedly using three colours of ink to make the background.  I cut my vellum leaves using a spellbinder die.  They were fading into the background a bit so I outlined with a black pen.  The sentiment is a Unity stamp
