An Expression of Infinity

Hello.  Welcome.  After midnight there is no telling where the crafty mojo will take you.  The most basic way to use a stamp is to stamp it.  The most basic way to use a die is to cut it.  Very few of us would consider leaving it at that.  And this took a lot longer to do than you can possibly imagine cos I kept trying to find things to add to it.  Then I remembered Milka's Math Challenge has a theme of Infinity.  It was stuck in my head cos it had me stumped.  How do you represent infinity.  Ahhhhhhh........ Winnie and Walter's Peppermint Zone die to the rescue.............

Infinity if ever I saw it!!

Now you may look at this and say, so what, you cut a die and stuck it on a base card.  But the thing is, I stopped and allowed the amazing qualities of this gorgeous die to embrace me and take me on a journey to everywhere.   I actually really, really, really love this card.  I'm gonna stare at it a bit longer.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Birthday Coffee

Hello Nomad friends.  Just needed a quick birthday card for a cat and coffee loving friend so La La Land's Morning Coffee Molli fitted perfectly.

I folded the patterned paper base and stamped Molli onto it with black archival.  I coloured with Promarkers and used a pale paint pen for her skin to cover up the pattern.  Oops, missed her hands!!  Never mind, they stamped quite nicely over that pink highlight on the paper.  Don't you love serendipity!  I found this lovely metal embellishment from Korthobby.no with the word Gratulerer (congratulations in Norwegian) which is used for all sorts of special days, especially birthdays.  I added some polka dot ribbon, cos polka dots are always fun and the green make me think of spring.

Granny in Bearclaw Slippers Giveaway comment by 14th May

Hello Nomad friends.  Blogland is about to go coffee, tea and cocoa crazy!!  The spring/summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop has just started and I'm ready!!  Got myself a few new coffee themed goodies, and some old favourites as well.  Here's the first one.

I liked the sketch at Stamplorations, so I flipped it upside down and also used their Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die and Rise and Grind die.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs small Square Shadow frame three times with Salty Ocean distress ink and added the fussy cut lady in the bunny slippers.  She is a new design from Lost Coast Designs and is called Coffee.  I think she looks more like a Beryl!  She's going out later so she's put on her pretty summer floral dress, but put her bathrobe over the top while she gets her hair sorted.  Love those bunny slippers!!!!

Blank Page Muse New Release Blog Hop - Day 1

Hello Nomad Friends.  Welcome to day 1 of a 3 day blog hop celebrating a new release at Blank Page Muse Stamps.
Today we are introducing new rubber art stamps by Pam Bray.

Hop along to see all the gorgeous creations by the Blank Page Muse Inspiration Team and leave comments along the way for your chance to win some of the new release stamps.
Which of Pam's stamps is your favourite??

For my first card I used the Dare to Dream stamp.  I decided to use the stamp on it's side.  I cut out the words, Dare to Dream, then re-stamped the word dream in the space.  I used Brusho powders in water to colour the image, and used a red Promarker for the ladybirds and flower center.

I also made a card using the Scribble and Scratch set.  This is a large sheet of stamps, about 6 x 8" (15 x 20cm) with a variety of images in a lovely scribbly style.  I used the Scribble Leaf for this card.

I stamped the leaf randomly on a card panel and coloured the leaves with Emerald Green Brusho's and the background with Leaf Green Brusho.  Then I stamped the Creativity sentiment on a piece of white card and layered it on an mat I also coloured with Emerald Green Brusho.
Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win.  All the links to the blogs in the hop are on the Blank Page Muse blog.  Hugz

It's a Cat

Hello.  Nomad friends.  It's time for another Card Chain Challenge reveal.  This is an international card exchange.  You make a card, you send a card, you get a card.  Everyone wins!!  In April 18 very talented card makers sent their cards whizzing around the world.  It love in an envelope!!   Here's the card I sent to Lorraine in the UK.

I used Die-versions Build an Animal die to make this black and white cat using lots of scraps!  For the spikey background I used a die from TH Snowman Scene die.  I used a platinum base card and added a layer or kraft that had silver stars printed on it and then a coffee (copper) layer, both from scrap mountain.  It looked a bit desolate so I used Cheery Lynn BAF#3 embellishment die to cut some flowers.

If you would like to join the fun the May sign up is open until the 6th May.
Don't forget to check out the April reveal.  It's awesome.

Granny in Bearclaw Slippers

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy 1st of May!!  Hope your world is a happy place today.  1st of the month, so time for a new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity, and we are playing I-Spy.  We want to see stamped makes featuring things beginning with B.  Here's mine......

Bwahahhahaaaahaa!!  It's my new favourite sentiment again, and if you'd like a chance to win it keep reading..........

I started by cutting a base card with a double stitch rectangle die and stamped Lost Coast Designs Party On.  She is one of a number of new stamps on the website.  Such a cool granny.  I masked her and stamped the large Circle Shadow Frame.  There is a whole set of stamps in this style and they make adding a coloured area so easy.  They are also more tips for using these on the website.  I used Salty Ocean distress oxide for that Turquoise look.  Hey, check out how the circle stamp looked after I stamped it.  The paper absorbed the ink more than the mask.  I couldn't waste that could I????

Shadow effect granny!!   Will have to think of some way to use this later........

I removed the mask and coloured Party On with distress inks and gel pens.  Then I stamped Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy Birthday sentiment.

I have an extra Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy Birthday sentiment.  If you would like to win it leave a comment on this post naming 5 things beginning with B that you can see on my card.  Or enter on the facebook fan group.  One entry per person.  Guesses need to be made by midnight 14th May.  I will post worldwide.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity to see more inspiration from the team and link up your B inspired makes.  Don't forget to use some real rubber or clear stamping.  Hugz
