A Good Time For It

Hello.  Welcome.  An unusually lacy creation from me today.

Meet Unity's George and Scarlett.  I used the unity sketch and made a rocker card.  I wanted to keep it monochrome and I don't have much glitter, just a little silver, so I used the MFP tutorial to make just one wide strip of glitter on the background for George and Scarlet to stand on.  To match my colour scheme I decided to try and colour it with alcohol ink.

Here's a picture of my silver glitter with some drops of raisin alcohol ink.  Was a bit afraid the alcohol ink would affect the sticky on the tape but the glitter stayed in place.  Some more drops of ink and the glitter is custom coloured.  Perfect.

I added some drops of the alcohol ink in the background and gave it a wash with red brusho powder diluted with water.  I stamped G&S on Prima patterned paper and coloured with distress inks and sharpies.

I added a bit of lace.  Then I added a bit more lace.    It's a rockin' wedding card.

Rarely Clean, Often Simple

Hello.  Welcome.  Here with another single layer card using a stamp set from Kort og Godt.  Fell in love with these cute kitties.

I stamped the cat pair and the sentiment.  It translates from Norwegian to 'Good luck today and in the future, congratulations to the bridal pair'.  To colour my background I sprinkled a bit of red Brusho powder on an acrylic block, added some water and then did a rough wash across the diagonal of the card.  I edged the card with barn door distress and cos I am messy crafter I managed to get a smudge where I didn't want it!! So I put some more barn door on a piece of kitchen paper and lightly rubbed it on the white areas to disguise it a bit LOL.

Golden Triangle Lost

Hello.  Welcome.  Beach hut?  Not so many of those in the stash.  Decided to use these My Island stamps by Waltzing Mouse and make a one layer card after watching the MFT Camp Create Bonfire Night.

OK, so I stamped my hut, then I masked it and stamped the sunrays stamp.  Then I decided it needed trees.   I like the contrast between the organic foreground and the square rays stamp.  I watercoloured with distress inks.  I left all that sky.  I am sure it offends some rules of balance or proportions but I liked the space.

Tiny Halloween

Hello.  Welcome.  Stumbled across this set of tiny halloween stamps from MFP called Halloween Selection.  Love that there are three different sizes of each image and the bat is just cool.  But they are tiny, so suitable for ATC, Twinchies, Moos etc.  I made an ATC.

I used distress inks to make the background.  I stamped the witch, the pumpkins and the cat.  I was going to add a sentiment but remembered I was going CAS.  I was going to add eyes to the sky rat (do you see him?)  but remembered I was going CAS.  Once I had taken the picture I realised the hele gjengen was levitating!   Bwahahahaahaha.  Maybe I should give them some floor.  Just waiting for them to fall LOL.

I'm Falling

Hello.  Welcome.  Just a QACAS card inspired by MFP's challenge of Fall and CASology's que word this week which is Dizzy.  I must admit when I saw the word fall I did consider getting out the zombie, cos I'm sure they fall over, or bits fall off, on a regular basis.  Then I got with the joys of language and realised we were talking Autumn.  It gets me every time!!  OK then.......

The wing-a-ding-a-whirly things are from Rubber Dance Maple Leaves set and the squiggle is from a Unity grab bag.  I worked hard to watercolour outside the lines.  The sentiment is my own doodlings.

Sharp Dressed Man

Hello.  Welcome.  I admit it, I'm a bit of a Halloween Junkie.  So when I saw the new release at Cheery Lynn I was smitten.  My order arrived today and I decided that I would use one of the new dies to decorate the card folder I was making for the cards I made yesterday.

Isn't that Frank just so cool???.........

I made my folder with a piece of 20 x 30cm red Bazzill.  I scored at 2.5, 14.5, 15.5, and 27.5cm.  Then I added a strip of DCWV patterned paper matted on brown on both sides.

I folded the two flaps in and stuck the top and bottom edges down.  I put my cards I made yesterday in the folder.  You can see them HERE

I used a 10 x 10cm of the DCWV paper, matted on brown card and then cut it into 4 pieces.  I arranged the four pieces across the card and added a paper pieced Cheery Lynn Frankenstein from the Fun With Frankenstein set.  I borrowed the sunglasses die from the Cheery Lynn Skeleton set.

The letters and bats are Sizzix die cuts.

Be Thankful

Hello.  Welcome.  An interesting tutorial by Sandy - One Sheet Wonders.   Basically you take one sheet of patterned paper and make multiple cards.

Here's the 5 cards I made using a 8" sheet of DCWV patterned paper, some brown card for matting and red Bazzill card bases.  Decided to keep it manly.....

This is Rubber Dance Rascal Rooster coloured with promarkers.

ODBD Rex, stamped on patterned paper and I've popped up his head to give some dimension.

A cute santa head from MFP's Holiday Tags set coloured with promarkers and some glitter on the hat.

DRS's Saddle Up Cowboy coloured with distress markers.

Flonzcraft Giraffe coloured with watercolour pencils.

I have one panel left.  Think I shall make a gift box for these.  Tomorrow.
