Happy Birthday Too Woo

Hello.  Welcome.  Shaker cards.  Love em?  Hate em?  Not sure?  I always have problems getting the fill right and also keeping it in the shaker LOL.  Then I saw some that were stuffed full and figured that was the way to go.

I used Unity Journaling Owl, coloured with sharpies and cut out the journaling lines to make my shaker window.  I wanted to use red hearts in my shaker but couldn't find any so I added a generous sprinkle of stars instead.  I used Poppystamps Diamond Background die cut and the sentiment is also a Unity stamp.

C is for Clown

Hello.  Welcome.  Coulrophobics beware!!  The letter for the Craft Barn Alpha Dictionary challenge is C so I brought on the clowns.  Here's my giant altered playing card with some happy chappies and their dog.

I used Woodware clown stamps, stamped. embossed and coloured with sharpies.  The background is Becky Higgins patterned paper cut with sizzix round tag die.  This is actually the second background!!  The first one went all custard pies and red noses due to using a black pen that wasn't waterproof!!!  Duh.  So I had to do a bit of a clownectomy before reinstalling them on this fun paper.  I doodled round the tag and added the OED definition.

He's a Funny Fellow

Hello.  Welcome.  The Card Chain Challenge reveal will be up soon but I thought I'd share the card I sent to Deborah this month. In case you don't know, for Deborah's card chain challenge you make a card, send a card and get a card.  Win win.  Also, if your card arrives by the last day of the month there's a chance win a little something something extra as well.  Anyway, here's the card I sent to Deborah.  I used the sketch and colour options.

I used Sizzix Cirque embossing folder and the giraffe from Rubber Dance's African Animals stamp set.  The flowers are Cheery Lynn BAF#3 embellishments and the hi was cut using Sizzix dies.

The full reveal will be posted HERE
The sign ups for September will also be HERE.
