A Side Order of Santa

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope you are having a wonderful and creative weekend.  I am feeling the jingle this weekend and want to kickoff with a slanted easel card.  This is the first time I have made one of these and I didn't make it easier for myself by using a shaped card base and a directional paper.  Ah well, I think it kinda works OK.

Here it is closed for sending.  I used sizzix patterned paper and Retro Santa dies with scraps.  I cut my base with a Kort og Godt fancy die that I love.   I am sure it will be featuring again soon......

My easel opens to the side and I used some more scraps and stamps from Kort og Godt for my sentiment panel stop with snowflakes and a couple of star brads.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Halloween Darling

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with another Halloween inspired make for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  Today I have made a slimline card using Carmen's Veranda sentiment and Staircase with Lost Coast Designs Dark Girl Dolly, Fourth Dimension and Bat Boy

I stamped part of Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension on the bottom of the card in black ink and added some pink distress colour.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Staircase with grey ink and gave it a old paper distress ink colour and fussy cut.  Dark Girl Dolly was stamped on white card, coloured with promarkers and fussy cut.  The bats were left over from my day 11 make.  For the sentiment I used Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy sentiment, which is usually birthday orientated.  I stamped the top part of the sentiment, added the words 'for Halloween' and then stamped the bottom part of the sentiment.  I arranged all the elements on the card base and done!!

Hop over and join the fun.  Link up your Halloween inspired projects, anything related to the season, spooky, fruity, fun, scary or cute.  Real rubber or clear stamping and the theme must be the focus of your project.  A small stamped sentiment in a sea of die cuts or digi images will not qualify to win the prize and you may be deleted or fed to the giant pumpkin!!!!  Bwahahhaaahaha.

Square Bats That Look Round

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today sharing some inspiration for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  The team are posting awesome Halloween related makes every day this month and we want to invite you to join us, so do hop over and check out the fun.

Today I made a forest scene using Lost Coast Designs Dracula, Tall Trees Background and Bat Boy

I made the background using the second alcohol ink background I made the other day.  I had already made one and was just stamping off the inks still on the felt pad, so this one is more subtle.  I used Midnight archival ink and stamped the Tall Trees and used Sunflower archival in a circle of felt for the moon.  Then I stamped Dracula and Bat Boy on white card and coloured with distress markers.  I fussy cut dracula and the heads of the bat boys and added them to the card.

Vampire Pig

Hello Nomad friends.  Do I have your attention bwahhhaaaaahahahaaaaaaa!!

Today I decided to clear of one of my chuck boxes.  I have a couple of these.  When the desk is full and I finally run out of patience I sweep everything into a box and declare it cleaned up!!   Problem is, the stuff tends to remain in these boxes.  So today I grabbed one and went through it.  Now some people would be tempted to just chuck the lot, but since I found three dies, a mound of stamped images, some already fussy cut, and a number of other interesting things, I am glad I took the time to go through it.   This card is made up of bits from the box, with a few tiny shiny negative cuts that should have made the bin, but didn't.

OK, let's show how my weird brain works and try and name those bits!!!  That Count Porkula, I think he's from DRS.  Adorbs!!!!  The skully danger sign is VLVS I think.  The witch is a left over from a Taylored Expressions die.  Having a blank on the poison bottle...... Any ideas???  The craft and white embossed 'hill' is a Rubber Dance stamp.  The layered hello is Stamplorations dies I think.  Then a few other scraps and of course those sparkly bits, all mounted on a green pearlescent card.

Thanks for dropping by.  More chuck box bits tomorrow I hope.  Hugz

50 Shades of Pink

Hello Nomad friends.  Lots of places are looking for pink, and Jo wants snow over at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge so.....

I used the lovely sketch from 52 Weeks to Christmas and the adorably cute Penny Black woodblock Ginger Girl.

I hit the scrap box for most of the bits I used on this card.  Must organise this in colours!!!

Inside I stamped the ginger cutie and a happy Christmas sentiment

I coloured the ginger girl with distress markers and went hunting for a pink snowflake brad.  Oh, no a vital missing piece from the stash!!  But, I found a white one and coloured with Promarker for the perfect embellishment!!!

Napkins and Tea Lights

Hello Nomad friends.  I made a gift box today that holds serviettes and tealights.  A perfect hostess gift or a nice christmas thing to have on hand.

I used some snowball patterned card for the lid of the box and added some scallop cut scraps and a lovely printed image from a Maja Design patterned paper.  I tied with some red and gold twine and added a couple of layered Kort og Godt die cuts for the tag.

Inside I added a pack of pretty serviettes and 4 scented tea lights.

Goat Skull on Autumn Leaves

Hello Nomad friends.  Don't you just love Spooktober!!!   It is surely the most wonderful time of the year (part 1).   I have my first project of the month long 31 Days of Halloween Celebration over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  Today I have been playing with alcohol inks and Lost Coast Designs Large Goat Skull.

I made the background using drops of pink, green and yellow alcohol ink on a felt pad and dabbing it all over my glossy card.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background using orange and pink inks.  I stamped the Goat Skull on white card with black archival ink, fussy cut and added it to the card.  I coloured the flower with purple distress markers and finally stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment.
