Fairy Christmas

Hello.  Welcome.  It's hot!  Damn hot!  30°C, that's 86°F, in the shade!!  I went to my craft room.  The only thing to be said for that was it wasn't in the sun.  But it was pretty hot there too!!  The UHU positively danced out of the tube......  And now I'm starting to have days ja view cos the other day I wrote about it being hot, frisky UHU and christmas cards.  And yeah, it's a christmas card again today.  I have been thinking about the Muse Christmas Visions challenge again and decided to get a bit more arty with it.

I will probably have to explain how I got to this one.......

When I looked at Chriss' muse card basically what I saw was a poinsettia between blue diagonal lines.

So that's what I did.  OK, my poinsettia has a whole sugarplum fairy attached to it, but basically it's a poinsettia between diagonal blue lines!  Poinsettias and sugarplum fairies are both seasonal items so I thought it would make a perfect alternative christmas card.

Since we were talking flowers I decided to die cut Poppystamps Large Sugarplum Fairy from Prima patterned paper.  The pattern was roses, but I figured that once cut that wouldn't be too obvious.  I cut the wings from the same patterned paper, backed them with vellum and added some sparkle with iridescent glitter glue.  Then I used Poppystamps Poinsettia Stem die, cut and embossed many times from brick red card and I layered the pieces onto her tutu.  I added a scrap of black paper as a belt and then found this cool flower shaped brad with a pink snowflake center.

I used Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle dies to cut the iridescent pale blue textured card panel and the vellum panel and mounted it all on a blue base card.  Now I need to find me a Fairy Christmas sentiment!  Anyone know of one??

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz
