April Foolery

Hello.  Welcome.  Gosh, April!  It's a big month!!  Birthdays breaking out all over.  But more of that later......  New month, new challenges.  Over at Rubber Dance we want to see altered stuff (that's a technical term you know!!) and/or the pretty colours of yellow, pink and green.   I decided I would use the colours and some pretty spring flowers, but it went all exotic looking and WHERE DID THAT GIRAFFE COME FROM!!!!

I used Sea Green, Emerald Green and Leaf Green brushos for my background with a generous spritz of water on glossy paper.  Never tried that before, but it gave a nice glossy look once it dried.  Then I used the large fir stamp from Rubber Dance Pine Fir Yew stamp set.  This would traditionally be a winter or christmas set, but I stamped and embossed with Ranger Magenta opaque embossing powder, which I think gave it a lush tropical look.  Then I stamped the Giraffe on a scrap of patterned paper and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from the giraffe set, stamped and embossed with black powder.  I think I shall call her Snowdrop.  She just sprang up, so I suppose I could call it a spring card with Snowdrop LOL.

The Rubber Dance challenge run until the end of the month. You can use the colours and/or alter something.  Don't forget if you are shopping at Rubber Dance you can get free worldwide shipping with my code GTFreeShip when you spend over €15!
