White Silhouette

Hello.  Welcome.  Stamplorations is celebrating it's 5th birthday and the month long challenge is to CASE any of the projects that the DT is sharing, which leaves it pretty wide open cos the projects are flying out, thick and fast, and in so many styles and colours and themes it's enough to make Mr Mojo's head spin.  Although I have a long list of ooooh, I want to try that, this afternoon I spotted a card by Suzanne that made me want to sit down and create.   I am very into alternative xmas cards at the moment and I figured this fitted the bill perfectly.

I started with a piece of watercolour paper that already had some green and peach acrylc splats.  I added some more colours using yellow, violet, purple, and turquoise brusho powders.  I cut the panel with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch Rectangle die and mounted on a blue base card.  I used one of Rubber Dance Pine Fir Yew stamps and black archival to add the foliage detail.  Then I cut Sizzix Dashing Deer from white card and added him to the card.

Blingy Bee

Hello.  Welcome.  Gosh, half way through June!  Don't time fly when you're having fun.  You are having fun aren't you??  Why not join the Rubber Dance challenge?  It runs through to the end of the month.  There are delicious colours of blue, blue and sandstone, and/or you can make a tag.  That's what I did, and maybe some blue, blue and sandstone as well.

I used Rubber Dance Round In Circles and Beautiful Bugs and the sentiment is from the Bling Bling set.

I made a brusho background using blues and sandstone brusho's and selected an area I liked and cut my tag using a Sizzix die.  I stamped the large spiral from Round In Circles using Salty Ocean distress oxide.  Then I stamped the linked circle stamp using Antique Linen DOx.

I stamped embossed and coloured the large bee from Beautiful Bugs.  I used yellow Promarker and irridescent glitter glue on the wings.  I stamped the sentiment with black archival and added more glitter to the sandstone strip in the middle of the tag.  A bit of fluffy wool and done!

The Rubber Dance challenge runs until the end of the month. You can use the colours and/or make a tag.  Don't forget if you are shopping at Rubber Dance you can get free worldwide shipping with my code GTFreeShip when you spend over €15!  Did you see the new stamps??  Go check em out.  So cool!!

Girls Like Blue Too

Hello.  Welcome.  Got this cute laser cut chipboard from Swedish House Crafts.  I think you are supposed to press the pretty mesh frame out of the surround, but then I would be keeping the surround and probably never use it, so I decided to use the whole thing.  It's slightly smaller than 6 x 4" so I thought it would make a great journal card for a PL LO.

I used the back of the frame cos I liked the colour from the cutting.  The front side is much more of a neutral colour.  I found a piece of patterned paper and stuck it behind the mesh.  Using Gummiapan Coneflower die I cut lots of flowers from blue paper and added some colour with Promarkers.  I found a scrap of brusho coloured background and cut it with Memory Box Stitched Landscape dies.  I edged the journal card with Salty Ocean distress ink.

I stamped, embossed and fussy cut Magnolia's Ox Tilda stamp and coloured her with Promarkers.  I added a little heart button, some glitter to the coneflower centers and stamped the Unity sentiment with blue dye ink.

Sunflower Blues

Hello.  Welcome.  Sometimes knowing what you want to do is only half the battle.  Finding time isn't always easy.  I knew I wanted to use this sunflower for the Calling All Sistahs challenge.  It just so matched the picture inspiration and I think it looks very cool in the teal tones.

My background panel is a brusho mop up piece, die cut with a stitch rectangle die and mounted on a black base card.  I die cut Poppystamps Bountiful Sunflower and used it as a stencil to colour the negative spaces with Cloud and Cadet blue Promarkers.  Then I coloured the sunflower with the Cadet blue marker and added it to the card.  The sentiment is from Unity, stamped with blue dye ink.

Stamp a Celebration

Hello.  Welcome.  Stamplorations is celebrating their 5th Birthday, with giveaways and daily inspiration from the team, and they are challenging us to case any one of a multitude of  projects.  Karola reminded me about the bloomtangle colouring book and what fun it is to take time and just colour.  So I dug out a piece of the colouring book and got busy with my Promarkers.

I mounted on a dark base and simply cut the Stamplorations Happy Birthday from cream card.

If you make a wishlist and share it on this post you might win some or all of it.

Little Woman

Hello.  Welcome.   Isn't it great when you get a little something in pretty packaging.  So I made some pretty packaging for a little something.

Isn't that little Russian Doll adorable!!  She makes a great tag.

All the papers I used are from Marianne Designs 6 x6 Shabby Chic block.  I took one sheet, added a line of double sided tape down one edge and rolled it into a cylinder.  These papers are quite heavy weight so you need to work them gently to get it rolled.  Then I squashed one end and glued it.

I cut Marianne Designs Russian Doll die and paper pieced her using three papers.  I used a black pen to add her face.  I cut some paper using the pierced curved border die LR0343 and added it to either end of the gift box.  Rotate the tube 90° and flatten the top of the tube.  I added a piece of twine to the top of the box and to the Russian Doll and used a brad to close the top of the box.
