Fire Horse

Hello Nomad friends.  My ongoing perpetual resolution to use the scraps!!!  Despite my best intentions scrap mountain range continues to grow.  My new system last year was doing really well holding the small scraps, but then it got a little overwhelmed as well.  So I grabbed the red box and went all fiery and horse.

2026 Year of the Fire Horse.  I used loads of scraps!!  Hurrah!!!!  And the photo is one I took of a huge bonfire.  I  kept clicking and ended up with a few very cool pictures.  Looks like a horse to me!!   I've layered red spiky scraps on red along the bottom, so I lost the definition a bit, but added some interesting yellow/gold circles for contrast and embossed texture.  The horse is a fuzzy lemon die, a particular favourite of mine.  Everything here was already lurking in my scraps, except the horse, which I cut from that fun red patterned paper.  I pieced everything together and mounted on a gold card base.

Here's the red scrappy box I got most of these pieces from, cos I know the snippets ladies love to see these.  It's a lot tidier now and a few rogue green and blue bits have found their way to their proper boxes.  Votes on a postcard for the next colour scheme LOL.

  1. Terrific New Year card and your fire photography is amazing. I think the flames look like a horse too. Did you take that picture at last year’s Bonfire Part in the Playground? LOL!

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse for Breakfast Club shortly. xxx
