Everybody Needs Somebunny - Bunny Hop Post 9

Hello.  Welcome.  The White Rabbit has decided the bunny hop shall continue until the 4th May.  We are just having too much fun!

Today we decided to celebrate christmas, cos despite it being a birthday blog hop, all occasion bunny creations welcome.

I have used the lovely Some Bunny from Unico, and in the spirit of giving the bunnies have decided that they will send one of these lovely stamp sets to one lucky hopper.  The bunnies are getting very opinionated!  This is in addition to the prizes already announced, so I think that makes 8 candies now!!  Maybe I need to work at rounding that number up......  We'll see what we can find......

I stamped Stamplorations Poinsettia Strip and a stamp from one of their grunge sets using Barn Door distress on a white base card.  I stamped, black embossed and fussy cut Uniko's Some Bunny.  I die cut his hat (Sizzix die) and the sentiment (Stamplorations die) using a scrap of red mirror card and a scrap of white.  Good job I keep the mirror card scraps with the mirror card cos my red card scraps appear to have vanished!!   I am blaming it on the bunnies!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Link up your bunny creations for a chance to win some amazing prizes.  If you haven't been following along then all my sponsors are listed on the main hop page, and I also have some other carats scattered amid the bunny hop posts.  Hugz

I saw the inspiration picture over at VLVS and loved the grey and black and green and decided it was the perfect opportunity to use Steampunk Warrior.   I stamped and embossed him on silver metal and cut him out.  For the background I stamped the Oh My from plate 951, blowing dandelion, chevron banner and the small single fir tree using black archival ink on a grey card base.  I smudged the sides with Evergreen Bough distress ink and added my Steampunk Warrior.  Oh my indeed!!  All stamps from VLVS

Adore A Bunny - Bunny Hop Post 6

Hello.  Welcome.  I am so blessed.  I would like to thank everyone who has sent me birthday wishes, birthday cards and birthday presents.  They continue to arrive and I continue to act my shoe size rather than my age!!  Ho ho ho.  Today I got this adorable bunny stamp from Bev of Uniko!
Thanks so much Bev.

This is Uniko's Some Bunny.  He comes with a selection of sentiments and also a few small stamps including bow ties, a heart and a flower.  Uniko is generously sponsoring my birthday bunny hop.

Beverley Brown is the owner and designer of Uniko clear stamps and paper crafting products, a small family run business.  Being an avid paper crafter and stamp addict for many years, plus completing a BA (Hons) in Textiles & Surface Design, Bev decided back in February 2012 to combine her passions and launch her own range of stamps, designer dies & digital paper collections.  Uniko's quality photopolymer clear stamps are made in the UK.

Uniko has generously offered one lucky winner their pick of any in stock £4 stamp.  That means you would be able to choose Some Bunny if you want!!  Squeeeeeee!!

Tonight I was feeling purple.  I cut a pale purple panel with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch rectangle die.  Then I used Poppystamps House in the Woods die to get those lovely trees and mounted my panel on a white base card.  I stamped, embossed and fussy cut Some Bunny and sat him in front of the house.  I stamped the sentiment using stamps from the Some Bunny set on a piece of the purple card and embossed with black powder.  Then I cut it using the largest Poppystamps Love Balloon die and edged it with purple chalk ink.  I used a piece of maroon embroidery thread to make sure bunny's balloon didn't float out of view.

Thanks for dropping by.  You have until close of play on the 29th to link up your bunny/hare themed cards for a chance to win any one of many prizes.  Check out the bunny hop posts for more bunny inspiration.  Hugz

My Pet - Bunny Hop Post 5

Hello.  Welcome.  I'm back!!  Older, wiser??!  Full of cake!!  I'd like to thank everyone who celebrated with me, has sent cards, or birthday wishes.  You all rock.  And there is still time to join my Bunny Hop celebration where you make a card and I give out prizes.  You gotta be in it to win it and there is still almost a week for you to get that bunny/rabbit/hare card made, photo'ed and linked up.  Still here??  Oh yeah, bunnies.........

I've made a twofer, cos the delightful Darnell has Pets as her Twofer challenge theme this month and there are still hours to join the fun.  I made a xmas and a thanks card using this really cute Crafty Individuals Hare Amongst the Trees.  And I have an extra one of these stamps that I bought and I will be giving away to one lucky bunny hopper!!

And Darnell also wants to see the pet that inspired the cards so here's some bunnies and me!

For my first card I used Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder and my big shot to emboss some dark blue card.  I used a gold ink pad to highlight the texture.  I stamped Hare Amongst the Trees on pale blue card using dark blue dye ink.  I cut with Stamplorations Crazy Double Stitch die and mounted it on a gold layer.  I cut the Stamplorations sentiment from the same gold card

This card is also joining the fun at

For my second card I followed the Paperbabes sketch.  I stamped Hare Amongst the Trees using black archival on white card.  I cut the image into sections and edged each piece with Mustard Seed distress ink.  Then I mounted them on a scrap of yellow card that I smudged with the Mustard Seed ink.  I rounded the corners of my card base using some fancy scissors and edged it with the same ink.  I used another Mustard Seed smudged scrap and cut with Winnie and Walters Thanks die.

This card is joining the fun at

This is the stamp I will be giving to one happy hopper, and I also have a couple of small sentiment/image stamps from Crafty Individuals that I will also be slipping in this package.  Check the previous Bunny Hop posts for details of the other prizes.

Thanks for dropping by.  Link up your bunny makes for a chance to win.  Hugz

Bunny Wallpaper - Bunny Hop Post 4

Hello.  Welcome.  The bunnies and me is hopping to celebrate me getting older and some very generous companies have agreed to sponsor me.   Ain't that just fabtatstic??

Today I made a card using dies from Poppystamps

Poppystamps is based in Seattle producing a line of rubber stamps and craft dies from the creative people at Memory Box!  They have very generously agreed to sponsor my bunny hop by sending one happy hopper their Cupcake Party stamps and the brand new Easter Bunny Egg die.  How cool is that!!  Thanks so much Poppystamps.

Here's my bunny card I made using dies from Poppystamps

Now, this wasn't exactly how I pictured this card but there was a bit of a logistical mistake by the woman in charge of shopping!!  I imagined little bunnies dancing with fairies, but little bunnies and large fairy........  So I decided to cut lots of Poppystamps Leaping Little Bunnies and lots of stitched circles from jade dotty Bazzill and combined them to make my background.  I cut Poppystamps Button Oval Contour and stamped it with Pine Needle distress and some bubble wrap and added the Rubber Dance sentiment.  I cut Poppystamps Pearched Fairy once from white card and twice from black.  I layered the fairies to give the shadow effect and stamped her with the green ink and Crafty Individuals stamp.  I added the wing and also some Bunny Ears!! So cute!!!!  Love those bunny ears dies.  And those cute little bunnies.

Thanks for dropping by.  Don't forget to link up your bunny themed makes for a chance to win some prizes from my sponsors, and also a few things from me.  Stay tuned for more bunnies and more surprizes.  Hugz

Hare Today - Bunny Hop Post 3

Hello.  Welcome.  My birthday Bunny Hop is in full swing.

Well, me and the bunnies is swinging.  Hope you fancy joining the fun.  Actually, I got two new bunnies today.  Real ones!!

This is Bod.  His brother Fred, who didn't want to sit still and be photographed, looks pretty much the same.

Tonight I want to share a card using a lovely stamp by Crafty Individuals who are one of my amazing sponsors.

Crafty Individuals is based in the North East of England and is co-owned by artist and designer Jean Hardy and professional photographer Malcolm Noble.  They primarily design and make rubber stamps for the craft industry and also stock a range of other arty and crafty products.   Jean and Malcolm have very generously supplied me with 4 stamps, two Crowned Bunnies and two Winning Hares.  I will be drawing two lucky winners who will each get these two lovely stamps.

Here's a card I made using Winning Hares

I also used one of my most favourite sentiments from Crafty Individuals (CI-410).  I stamped and embossed the Hares and the sentiment with black powder on some patterned paper.  I stamped and embossed the hearts with red tinsel embossing powder, fussy cut them and added them to the card.  I stamped the little butterfly and coloured it with Promarkers.  The hares were coloured with Worn Jeans distress ink and I used Sizzix Deckle Edge dies to cut the panel and the card base.

If you want a chance to win these gorgeous stamps, or any of the other prizes then you just need to make a card featuring a bunny, rabbit or hare and link it up to my Bunny Hop Linky

Thanks for hopping by.  Hugz

Let's Face It

Hello.  Welcome.  The 15th of the month and a reminder for the monthly challenge at Rubber Dance where you can use the colours and or the theme.  The theme this month is Altered Stuff so I decided to do a little upcycling.

Bwahahahahaaa.  I used Rubber Dance Carved Whimsy Wood stamps and loads of gold embossing powder to make this mask.

I started with this paper egg.  Here in Scandanavia easter eggs are made of card and then you fill them with sweeties.  I do miss the chocolate eggs we have in the UK!!!  That seems like such a more sensible solution!  Chocolate egg filled with chocolates!!  Eat the egg and the chocolates!!!!  I seem to have accumulated a number of these paper eggs, and after a discussion of their basic uselessness and waste of the planets resources (cos most people just throw them away!), and my need to alter something, my friend Elin said why don't you make a mask!  She is my muse!!!  Great idea........

So I painted it with a layer of gesso and glued a couple of layers of pieces of ripped tissue paper on it.  Then I found this green spritzed paper.  Recognise that Bibi??  This is a piece of paper Bibi had gift wrapped some of my stamps in when she sent them.  Never throw anything away me!!   Since it's spring and I had had a green man in mind for my mask this was perfect.  So I glued that on as well.

All the stamps I used are from the Carved Whimsy Wood set.  The eyelids are the top of a mushroom, as is the nose!! The lips and a lot of the face details are a little ferny stamp.  The cheeks are the small and large round trees and I also used the large branched tree for some of the hair.  The eyelids and lips were stamped and embossed with gold on tissue paper and coloured with green Promarker before being glued in place.  I did most of the stamping off block, cos of the multi-directional curves, and embossed with gold powder.  I did a bit at a time, working around and filling in any gaps afterwards.  The cheeks and nose didn't stamp so well, so I stamped and embossed on some black paper and stuck them down.

I think it's an improvement over the original and it was a lot of fun to make.

Do hop over to the blog and check out the rest of the inspiration from the team. The Rubber Dance challenge runs until the end of the month. You can use the colours and/or alter something.  Don't forget if you are shopping at Rubber Dance you can get free worldwide shipping with my code GTFreeShip when you spend over €15!

It's a Bonny Day - Bunny Hop Post 2

Hello.  Welcome.  The sun is shinning, the bunnies are hopping and Rubber Dance is one of the wonderful companies sponsoring my birthday Bunny Hop.

Today I am featuring Rubber Dance's gorgeous Bonny Bunny stamp, which coincidentally is up for grabs!!  Here's a bit about Rubber Dance stamps

Rubber Dance is a Norwegian stamp company.  All the deeply etched red rubber stamps are lovingly handmade by the owner Bibi in her home based workshop and sold unmounted.  Bibi has generously provided Bonny Bunny which will go to one lucky blog reader who links up a card to my bunny card linky

Here's the card I made today featuring the gorgeous Bonny Bunny stamp

I stamped my textured base card with the linked stamp from Rubber Dance Round in Circles and embossed with white powder

I used various green brusho's on some glossy paper and cut out some large circles using a Sizzix die.  I stamped Bonny Bunny on white card, embossed with black powder and coloured with distress inks.  I die cut around the bunny and added all the circles to the base card

I stamped and embossed the words from Rubber Dance Affirmations set and cut the panels with Sizzix Deckle Edge die and added colour using green and orange Promarkers.  I popped the sentiment panels up on craft foam to add some dimension

Check out all the bunny inspiration and link up your bunny cards for a chance to win some fabulous candy.  Back soon with more bunnies, more sponsors and more details of the carats you can win.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz
