Super Friend

Hello.  Welcome. The VLVS mood board caught my attention.  It's zingy!!!  So I decided to grab a giant playing card and got my greens on.

I covered my playing card with a piece of dictionary paper.  I used Cracked Pistachio and Lime Green Brusho powder (NEW) to colour a piece of watercolour paper.  I stamped the two circle stamps using Mowed Lawn and Evergreen Bough distress inks and cut using Sizzix Mixed Media die and added it to the playing card.

I decided to use this fun little superhero and stamped and fussy cut him.  But he worked best with the card up this way, so now my dictionary words are upside down, but I won't tell if you don't!!  I added a few of the negative cuts from the die for a bit of texture and such.

I stamped and embossed the sentiment on vellum and ripped the long edges.  This is a new stamp I haven't used before.  I think we will be seeing a lot of that one.  The card edges were inked with black archival.  All stamps are from Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

  5. You did a great job getting your green on, Gail! I love both your focal image and text stamp and they work perfectly together. Great use of that die cut, too! I have seen a lot of cards that you have made over the years, my friend, and this has to be one of the top 10! Great job.
