Woodland Friends

Hello.  Welcome.  November was the last exchange month for the Card Chain Challenge in 2017 and I was sending my card to Dee in Kenya.   I had set an extra little challenge to get the ladies to use at least three of the options this month, so I decided I'd better try and take my own challenge LOL.  I used the colours, deer and friendship.  I was also following the sketch, but it maybe got a bit modified beyond recognition.

Couldn't resist using this cute little Frantic Stamper Moose die.  I cut it three times, once from kraft, which I coloured with distress inks, and twice from black card, which I used to add a shadow and dimension. The background is a piece of patterned paper and the trees were cut using Die-namites Deer Birch Background.  I fussy cut off the bits I didn't want.  I also used part of this diecut for the branch for my vellum bird.  The sentiment is from Rubber Dance, stamped with black archival ink on a panel I cut with a sizzix die and coloured with distress inks.

If you would like to see all the cards exchanged this month the reveal is HERE
The sign ups for January will be open later this month at the
Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Joining the fun at
As You Like It Challenge - Favourite Animal and Why as Brenda says this is an impossible challenge cos I love all animals, but I decided since it's winter I'm going to go with deer, in all their wonderful variety.  I love their elegance and strength and the majestic stags, and there are so many cool stamps and dies, cute and serious.  This card features a deer of the moose variety.

I love how you layered your tree dies cuts and moose over a piece of patterned paper! I need to remember to do that more often instead of always making one with distress inks!
Thanks for linking your cute card up to Cropstop this month - always a pleasure to see your name appear in the link gallery!

Love it! I'm no expert, but is this actually Rudolf's cousin Morris the Moose? Jo x

Actually, I think this is Morris's brother Marvin. They look so similar!! But yes, close cousins to Rudolf. Hugz
