Why Just One?

Hello.  Welcome.  The new theme challenge is up at Rubber Dance and it's your favourite stamp.  Easy right??   Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!  Well, obviously, I only need to look at Rubber Dance stamps for this project, but there are just so many favourites.  So I put my most 'favourites' into a pile.  A huge pile!!  How do I choose??  I decided to just go with it.  I closed my eyes and did a bit of Mr Random in the pile and came up with Milky Way.  Hmmmm, Mr Random has taste.

I'm glad I started this without any preconceived ideas cos I never saw this coming!
But it's pretty cool.

I started by stamping Rubber Dance Milky Way stamp in stripes across the card with Versamark ink.  Then I embossed with white powder to give a resist.  I coloured randomly with Dusty Concord, Hickory Smoke and and that other purple colour distress inks.  Don't forget to wipe the ink off the embossed areas.

Then I remembered this very cute star swirl stamp from the Winter Wonderland set.  I haven't used it for a while but it is just so pretty.  A tiny little wonder of a stamp for giving a beautiful accent, or in this case, a glorious explosion of detail.  I stamped it many times with Plumeria Colourbox chalk.

The large swirl from Round in Circles.  Swoon.  Love this stamp!  It is so big and beautiful.  I decided to stamp it on black glossy card and emboss with white powder again.  Then I ripped the edges and applied black archival ink.  And now for the topper....

Whale Wishes is a recently released set, but that doesn't mean that that gorgeous whale hasn't stolen my heart.  I stamped, embossed with black powder and fussy cut.  I started colouring with Promarkers and then added some distress inks when I ran out of shades of green.  The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set.  I have a lot of favourites in this set LOL.  I stamped the sentiment and embossed with green tinsel embossing powder.  Then I coloured with distress inks and matted it onto a scrap I had left over from the Milky Way background.  I stamped, embossed, coloured and fussy cut the swirly stamp, also from the Whale Wishes set.  I tried it in the whale's blowhole but didn't like the way the sentiment hid it so I played around a bit.  Then I realised I needed another one.  Watch out!  The Kraken has grabbed the sentiment!!!   What fun.

Thanks for dropping by.  I can't wait to see your favourite stamps.  You don't need to use Rubber Dance stamps to join the challenge, but we do love to see them.  You can link up you projects HERE.

All the stamps used here are from Rubber Dance and there are many more in the Rubber Dance webshop.
