Tag Pegasus

Hello.  Welcome.  Sometimes life throws you curves.  Some people get more curves than others.  Mayhaps, an uncommon number.

I stamped and embossed Gorjuss Runaway and coloured with distress inks.  I masked and coloured the background with distress inks.  I used my gold and silver pilot markers to add some splats.

I added some metal charms from Korthobby.  I edged with some cream lace and used the same lace for the hanger.  The sentiment is a Unity stamp.

Strawberry Milkshake

Hello.  Welcome.

I cut my tags using Sizzix tag dies.  For the base tag I used a piece of white card that had come with a shirt and covered it with patterned paper.  I edged both tags with chalk ink.  I cut Gummiapan star die into the top tag and pieced it in two different colours.  The image is from Unity Warmth of Winter kit, stamped, fussy cut and a little touch of Worn Lipstick distress ink on her face and the heart.  I cut the Stamplorations die sentiment from hot pink glitter card, added a pink star brad and some funky wool.

Rosy Drumlins

Hello.  Welcome.  I was lucky enough to win a prize at the 7 Kids birthday bash on fb and it arrived today and I couldn't wait to get busy with this lovely Brutus Monroe stencil and the pink nuvo glitter paste.  That perfectly fitted for a christmas card I had in mind so here we go, Prima doll in a blue and pink winter wonderland.

I had to think about this, cos I wanted to keep it one layer.  I cut my blue card base with Stamplorations Crazy Double stitched rectangle die.  Then I took the B/M folkwave stencil and the pink Nuvo glimmer paste.  Oooh, yummy.  It dried really fast as well.  Very useful for impatient crafting.  Then I put my Prima doll on my acrylic block, inked her, flipped it over and she dropped like a stone onto my card!!!!   The air turned shades of purple.  Deep breathe, apply pressure with the acrylic block, pick her up and survey the damage!   Sigh of relief, just a bit of extra ink around her boot bows and hat.  Hopefully no one will notice.  I coloured her with sharpies, which hold their colour really well on coloured cardstock.  Then I masked her and stamped Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes with Salty Ocean distress. I also edged the top of the card with Salty Ocean.

Under A Beautiful Sky

Hello.  Welcome.  Nothing like finding a challenge with a short deadline to give Mr Mojo a well need injection of inspiration.

I made my background by applying four colours of distress inks and blending sightly.  I wanted a silhouette of the flowers and this stamp from Sprinkle and Sparkle Happy Flowers isn't!  So I stamped the flowers and coloured the leaves with a black sharpie.  Then I stamped and embossed the flowers on orange metal and fussy cut them.  I stamped the sentiment from Sparkle and Sprinkle Graduation - Final Role Call stamp set in black archival.  Yes, please, be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your heart on fire.

He Is Still Big

Hello.  Welcome.  Having a bit of a CAS blitz inspired by CASology's BIG.  To be big, maybe you just have to be looked at by someone smaller.  The cue card made me think of this lovely stamp by Unity - First Love, First Hero.  I always thought my dad was so big when I was small.  Now I am growed, he's still big in my heart and in my thoughts.

I stamped the image and masked it.  Then I added Stormy Sky distress ink to a long acrylic block, wiped away a section, spritzed it with water and stamped the colour onto the card.  The DAD is stamped using letters from Carmen's Veranda's Zen Dream stamp.

Big Red Balloon

Hello.  Welcome.  Another card for CASology's Big challenge.

I stamped the pennant (NBUS) from Panduro's Kids set.  I thought it looked like a balloon string with dangles.  Then I cut my balloon from red card and embossed the sentiment using a sizzix embossing folder (NBUS I think. I don't remember using it before, but it is pretty ancient.  But now I see it, I am wondering why I haven't used it before!!).  I used Barn Door distress ink to highlight the embossing.

Everything Is Relative Sister

Hello.  Welcome.  CASology have the cue word BIG.  Well, that's an interesting one.  How do you judge size.  Usually with a reference to something else. Mice are big to fleas and elephants are big to mice.  Squueeeeeek!!  And CAS.  If you stamp something big then there goes your white space.  Unless of course it is your white space!  Or in this case, orange!!!!

Meet Ed.  He's a giant pumpkin.  Well, the biggest one I'm going to see this year.  Terrible year in the pumpkin patch.  Anyway, back to Ed....   He's so big he didn't fit on the card.  There he is, being his own white space.  I used sizzix movers and shapers dies to cut the face from black card, added it to my orange card base and a couple of googly eyes, cos Ed has character!

Woodland Potato Postcard

Hello.  Welcome.  Mr Potato wanted to play along with the VLVS challenge.  He says he's a forest animal.

I started with a 6 x 4" piece of pale blue card.  I stamped the VLVS concentric circle stamp all over the blue card using Watering Can archival ink.  I used 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th impressions, stamping til I could stamp no more, and then re-inking.  I took some pages from a dictionary, words beginning with P, and coloured with Old Paper, Tea Dye and Stormy Sky distress inks.  I ripped the dictionary pages up and stuck them over the blue stamped card.  VLVS Mr Potato stamped on old book paper, embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Promarkers and white gel pen.  The VLVS sentiment was stamped and embossed on old book paper and layered on a couple of pieces of the blue stamped card.  I used my craft knife and did some serious distressing on the edges.

"It is as bad as you think and they are out to get you!"

Blue Berry

Hello.  Welcome.  Kreativ Scrapping have a lovely colour palette inspiration, and Marianne Designs want two main colours and a splash, and I want christmas, so together we made this.....

I went all pink and blue and a little touch of orange.  I cut and embossed the Marianne Designs doily from pink card.  It comes with a matching angel wing (nothing to do with angels me thinks) so I used that to cut my blue Bazzill dots base card a fancy nancy shape.  Then I cut and embossed the MD stars doily.  The cutie was stamped, embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Worn Lipstick distress and promarkers.   God Jul as they say in my part of the world.

Tea Leaves

Hello.  Welcome.  We've gone from a warm and wet summer to a warm and wet autumn.  Only thing to do is craft!!

I used Sizzix Labels Ornate #3 dies to cut my rust Bazzill dots card base and DCWV domino patterned paper.  I cut Poppy Stamps Tea Pot Stack from gold mirror card.  The leaves are cut from orange and gold metal sheets using dies from Spellbinders Orchard Harvest Tags and Accents set.  Pile of teapots in a pile of leaves!  Perfect.

Autumn Wishes

Hello.  Welcome.  The Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop is running and the entries sure are pouring in.  If you have used stamping and numbers the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity has a numbers challenge running til the 25th of the month. This is my second entry for the Coffee Lovers hop using stamps from Unity and their fb challenge sketch.

I couldn't find a card base the colours I wanted, so used Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick distress inks on a piece of cream textured card.  I embossed a piece of orange metal with Sixxix Leaves folder and die cut it using Taylored Expressions Frame In Frame 2 dies.  I stamped and coloured the Unity girl using promarkers and distress inks and stamped and embossed the sentiment on a piece of ribbon.

Why Just One?

Hello.  Welcome.  The new theme challenge is up at Rubber Dance and it's your favourite stamp.  Easy right??   Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!  Well, obviously, I only need to look at Rubber Dance stamps for this project, but there are just so many favourites.  So I put my most 'favourites' into a pile.  A huge pile!!  How do I choose??  I decided to just go with it.  I closed my eyes and did a bit of Mr Random in the pile and came up with Milky Way.  Hmmmm, Mr Random has taste.

I'm glad I started this without any preconceived ideas cos I never saw this coming!
But it's pretty cool.

I started by stamping Rubber Dance Milky Way stamp in stripes across the card with Versamark ink.  Then I embossed with white powder to give a resist.  I coloured randomly with Dusty Concord, Hickory Smoke and and that other purple colour distress inks.  Don't forget to wipe the ink off the embossed areas.

Then I remembered this very cute star swirl stamp from the Winter Wonderland set.  I haven't used it for a while but it is just so pretty.  A tiny little wonder of a stamp for giving a beautiful accent, or in this case, a glorious explosion of detail.  I stamped it many times with Plumeria Colourbox chalk.

The large swirl from Round in Circles.  Swoon.  Love this stamp!  It is so big and beautiful.  I decided to stamp it on black glossy card and emboss with white powder again.  Then I ripped the edges and applied black archival ink.  And now for the topper....

Whale Wishes is a recently released set, but that doesn't mean that that gorgeous whale hasn't stolen my heart.  I stamped, embossed with black powder and fussy cut.  I started colouring with Promarkers and then added some distress inks when I ran out of shades of green.  The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday set.  I have a lot of favourites in this set LOL.  I stamped the sentiment and embossed with green tinsel embossing powder.  Then I coloured with distress inks and matted it onto a scrap I had left over from the Milky Way background.  I stamped, embossed, coloured and fussy cut the swirly stamp, also from the Whale Wishes set.  I tried it in the whale's blowhole but didn't like the way the sentiment hid it so I played around a bit.  Then I realised I needed another one.  Watch out!  The Kraken has grabbed the sentiment!!!   What fun.

Thanks for dropping by.  I can't wait to see your favourite stamps.  You don't need to use Rubber Dance stamps to join the challenge, but we do love to see them.  You can link up you projects HERE.

All the stamps used here are from Rubber Dance and there are many more in the Rubber Dance webshop.
