Earthling Greetings Birthday Happy

Hello.  Welcome.  When everywhere there is spring sometimes it's nice to be find something a bit different.  Nordsalten Hobbyklubb want to see some out of this world action this month so I went with a bright, other worldy birthday card.  April is the month for my family, with birthdays popping up all over, so this will be perfect for one of the little people.

I sponged Night Sky chalk onto a blue card base and added some white and orange splats.  My planetoid was cut using a Sizzix circle die and coloured with many colours of distress ink and acylic paint.  I used a black pen to add the circles and a faux stitched edge.  The 'alien' is from Panduro's Rascals set.  I coloured with bright distress inks and fussy cut.  Was going to give her one huge eye, but it was a bit scary, so went with the conventional two.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

What a cool birthday card from out of space! I love both the background and planet, and the cute alien. I am so glad you took our challenge at Nordsalten Hobbyklubb, in between all spring and easter challenges. I hope you also join our give away and "fremsnakk", which means to bring forward another scrapper, and tell about her (or him) in your blog.

Adorable card, and I like the variation of color intensity you got by sponging on the ink...even before the splats! Thanks for entering this piece in the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity "Favorite Background Technique" challenge. :)
