Somewhere Someone Is Sleeping

Hello.  Welcome.  A couple of weekends ago I joined the Sin City Stamps Fan Group on fb and was lucky to win a couple of stamps.  They arrived today and Mr Mojo said 'we can do something with those'. In fact, Mr Mojo had 5 ideas for these two small rubber stamps.  His first idea crashed and burned, but this one worked quite well......

The two Sin City stamps I won were Circles Trail and Small Distressed Arrow Symbol.

Maybe it's lucky I'm a simple girl, but these look full of potential to me.  Obviously I have used the circles stamp LOL.

Everyone seems obsessed with perfect stamping, but sometimes the imperfections can make it more interesting.  I lightly inked the stamp with black Archival ink.  Because this is a solid stamp lightly inking allows the texture of the ink pad to show in the stamped image.  I also used hammered card so in some places the texture of the card shows through the stamped image.  I repeatedly stamped to cover the card and then used a white gel pen to draw random lines.  I cut the panel with the large and medium Stamplorations Double Crazy Stitched rectangle dies, inking all the cut edges and then mounting on a black base card.  Then I die cut the words using Stamplorations word dies.  Pleased with this.  Stay tuned for more fun with these two little rubber beauties.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Well done on winning the stamps. Such a creative project. Loving how the repeat stamping has turned out. The texture of the card looks good too x

Gail, great prize you won! And love to see how you created the background using them. Super fabulous. The sentiment die cut is perfect match.

What interesting textures you achieved here, Ionabunny! Who needs color when you already have all that? LOL

So glad you entered this in the Black & White Challenge at the LostCoastPortalToCreativity.blogspot.com!
