Hello. Welcome. I am trying to use up some of my patterned papers. We buy them cos they are such lovely colours and then they sit on the shelf, too pretty to use. Well, tonight I grabbed a couple of sheets from a company called Twelve by 12, two Unity stamps and a Cheery Lynn die and made this
I used Cheery Lynns Spring Flower Burst Doily Angel Wing to cut the aperture. It perfectly fitted the middle of the sunflower on these big papers. I stamped the sentiment from Unity's Make Our Souls Blossom and embossed with gold powder. Then I overstamped with Unity's Take Care of You in green ink.
Thanks for dropping by. Hugz

Great project! Thanks so much for participating in the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge this week and good luck.
Well, this is very cool. I thought that was a sunflower in the background, and you're right that die does fit the center perfectly. Beautiful sentiment, too. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.
Love your use of the 'negative'/aperture for this card! Thank you for joining in on the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. Live, Laugh & Create!
What a cool looking card and I agree with you...sometime we buy papers we fall in love with and than it just sits on the shelf..LOL. Glad you got to use it up to make a really cool card. Thanks for joining us at the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge!
Such a great make. Using those gorgeous papers is sometimes hard to do...even tho that's why we buy them, right? Your result is so nice! Thanks so much for joining us at TCP Tuesday Challenge! Brenda
Love how you cut out the center of the flower with the Angel Wing die! It turned out great! Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapy Land Challenge #29!
I love the embossed sentiment on the patterned paper background. It feels great to put those papers to good use, doesn't it? Thank you for playing with us at the The Cat's Pajamas TCP Tuesday challenge.
Love the idea of having an embossed sentiment as the flower centre. Lovely card. Thanks for playing along Simon Says Stamp Thanksgiving Wednesday Challenge.

Great saying and lovely card with it. Great way to use up that pretty paper.
I'm clapping with pride, Gail. (Which isn't easy to do while I'm typing!) Excellent job using your pp and being an inspiration to the rest of us with this vibrant card!! Hugs, Darnell
Love the saying. Very pretty colors.
Very nice. Love the color combo.
Yes, I know how hard it is to use those pretty papers in our stash that we hoard. Really pretty piece here, Gail. I love the layered stamping and the gold. Yum!

When I recently moved--and after my daughter, my stepdaughter and I had painstakingly gone through all my patterned papers (more than once), I donated a 4-inch stack of 12x12 papers to the high school art teacher! I still have stacks that I kept! Over the years, our preferences change. But, after all this time, I still have some that I won't use. I am going to take note of your post today and make it a point to USE some of those beloved papers. I love the gold embossing, especially, in your artwork today!
Wonderful project. The gold embossing is sunning.
