Chocolate Tea For You

Hello.  Welcome.  I have been working on another card inspired by the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I love choco tea by Yogi Tea.  I know I got a few comments last time I mentioned it.  Not only do you get some delicious chocolatey tea you also get the box!!

So here's a picture of the box.  Pretty eh?  And a tea cup I cut from one of these boxes!  The inside of the box is beautifully printed.  Crafters heaven.   Each box also has interesting information on each side and a yoga position.  The one on this box is a breathing exercise for mental clarity.  Well, we could all do with a bit of that.  Also, each teabag has a little tag with a saying on it.  A bit like fortune cookie teabags!!

I took a piece of Prima Craftsman patterned paper and used gold embossing paste and a chevron stencil.  I also applied some of the paste around the panel edge using my finger.  I cut three Cheery Lynn Tiny Rum Punch Doily from gold card.   I cut the cup freehand frm the box, inked the edged with Walnut Stain and covered it with glossy accents.

I wanted to put a chocolate tea bag in my cup so I mounted it on some foam.  Unfortunately the teabags are a bit big for my cup so I made a vellum bag and added some foil hearts.  They go well with the teabag tag sentiment ' The Beauty of the heart cannot be stolen'.

There seems to be a lot of giving on this hop so I thought I do a little bit as well.  If you would like the chance to try some of these teabags leave a comment saying you want to try chocolate tea and I will send this card and 6 choco teabags to one lucky commenter.  I will post worldwide.

    1. Hi Lori, it's a spice infusion and has a define, but subtle chocolate taste. A lovely alternative to hot chocolate. Yummy. Hugz

  4. Yes, would love to try chocolate tea! As I was reading your post, I was wondering why I haven't seen this tea here in Nova Scotia, Canada. We do have some Yogi teas, but not this flavour. Is it a black tea or an herbal tea? I like that it's organic. I drink one called Chocolatey Chai, it's a supermarket brand here in Canada (PC Organics) and it's my favourite. Anyway, getting back to your card LOL, I like it a lot - it has a mixed media feel to it. Your coffee cup looks amazing and I love how you made your own little teabag! I enjoyed visiting today!
