Meet Teddy

Hello.  Welcome.  A while ago I said I had new baby rabbits and Laura, hi Laura, asked to see pictures.  When they were born, quite honestly, they were ugly!  Blind and naked, and because most of this lot are white-ish they just weren't pretty.  But now they are gorgeous!!  Meet Teddy

He's a Lionhead rabbit.  It's really hot here at the moment and my furry friends aren't enjoying it.  Mostly they are just flat out.   I got Teddy out to sit with us in the shade and was expecting a bit of action but he just went and lay against the radio.  When I moved him he just went straight back to the radio.  Obviously he has musical bones

Here he is with his siblings.  Cute or what!!  More photo's soon.  I have another Lionhead litter but they are younger, at what I call the Volvo stage.  Long and rectangular looking.  They are starting to move around a bit now so soon they will fluff up and be just too gorgeous.  I'll try and get them to pose as well.  More difficult than photographing a card.  That said, maybe you came for some crafting??.........

Over at PaperArtsy Lin Brown made a lovely mini journal.  I loved the colours she used so decided to make a card in the same style.  At least that's where I started.........

I started by stippling three shades of yellow acrylic onto my card.  Lin was working on canvas and I wanted the appearance of texture on my flat card.

Then I stamped with Hero Arts Word Pops background stamp and Walnut Stain Distress ink

I used a flower stamp and white paint, but it was too detailed and I had to wipe it off quick.  Of course, I hadn't heat set the DI but luckily it didn't fair too badly.  My little accident happened bottom left but the script is still visible.   Then I resorted to PaperArtsy ELB04 stamp set with white acrylic.  Much better

More PaperArtsy stamps with black archival

Then I got the doodle bug................

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you are having a lovely summer.  Or maybe for those on the other side it's winter!!  How bizarre......   Hugs

Gail, your card is absolutely fantastic! Love the colors, love the texture, and I especially love the doodling. this card is not just in the card, but a piece of art and will be cherished by the recipient for sure. Or, why don't you just frame it and keep that for yourself? Now, to those delightful bunnies! They could not to be any cuter. Why do I now find myself wanting to cuddle?

First off your card is fantastic.
And aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I love him! He's so sweet! And I love the lined up photo - how did you manage that?! I have trouble getting my ONE rabbit to sit still. She is moulting at the moment and is very grumpy :(
Thank you soooo much for the photos :)

Those bunnies are TOO adorable! My bunny knowledge level is about a negative fifty, so I really enjoyed your write-up and learning more about these precious little critters. Thanks for making me smile with those sweet photos! And your card! Another reason to smile! I really like how this turned out and think your doodles are brilliant. Too often I forget to incorporate my own drawings and doodlings into my projects, so thank you for the inspiration. I also liked reading about your process and appreciated how you included your "accident." Good to see that you came up with something that's still totally amazing even though you had traumas. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who has crafty accidents! Thanks so much for your post and for sharing this whimsically wonderful card with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

Teddy is adorable Gail as are his siblings. Many years since we had rabbits but we do have several families of them living in the paddocks and they are lovely to watch.

Beautiful bright an summery card, great to see you at Stamping Sensations challenge, thanks so much for joining in.
