Cowboy Hat

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope you are having a fun week. Today I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some classic headgear for the Where's My Hat? Challenge. I've used Carmen's Veranda Rocking Horse and Southwest Town to make a simple anyday cowboy scene.

I started with a kraft card base and stamped Southwest Town with brown ink.  Then I blended Fossilized Amber and Salty Ocean distress oxides to make the sand and the sky.  I stamped Rocking Horse on some light grey card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut just the horse.  Removing the rocker gives it a whole different look and it looks great paired with the Southwest Town, which is one of my favourite Carmen's Veranda stamps.

I hope you get time to join the Where's My Hat? fun.  We need at least 20 entries to award the prize so tell your friends and add your stamped makes featuring headgear to the linky.

Roof Problems

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, where have I been????   Sunny days have meant garden time, but today it's rainy so crafting I am.  I love this cute little bird house gift box, but I must admit to having challenges getting the roof to stay on.  Also managed to rip the roof off my big rabbit cage today (again), so must be a day for it.  The Mister will be unimpressed cos he only just reattached rabbit cage roof, but there ain't much wood left after woodlice incursions, so it wasn't really my fault.  Anyway, this project was inspired by Endless Passion's Easter scrap day 34 and it's pretty, adorable and quite easy, except for that roof thing, which I solved by using stickier glue......

Isn't it cute!!!   I used some embossed pearlescent card for the roof and ground and some wood patterned paper for the walls.  The butterflies are Memory Box Gloriosa Butterfly Duo dies and the flowers are Memory Box Marvelous Magnolia 3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies.  Thanks for those Linda.

and then it does this........

Space for snacks.  In this case choccies.

Where Did You Get That Hat???

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh April!!   The most hoppiest month of the year.  Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity the challenge for April is Where's My Hat?  We want to see your stamped anythings featuring headgear.  I had a look through my Lost Coast Designs stamps and found lots with hats!  Today I have used one of the images from Doodle Dolls 1 set, and I found she also featured on the Postage set, so I've made a slimline collage style birthday card.

I used archival ink in shades on blue and red and did some ink mixing on the stamps to give some variegated colours.  The background stamp is Lost Coast Designs PMC Circle Frame.  I used a die cut to make the oval frame and arranged the Postage stamps and Doodle Doll on it after I had stamped and fussy cut them.  I stamped the Happy Birthdays using Lost Coast Designs Party Words and die cut with a Waffle Flower die.

I hope you get time to join the Where's My Hat? fun.  We need at least 20 entries to award the prize so tell your friends and add your stamped hatty makes to the linky.

Hot Pink Full House

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the second of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  I went a little wild this month and claiming another full house creation.  Seems like 2025 might be the year for it!!!!   So, the Card Chain Challenge!  Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone is a winner!!!   I sent this pink fluffy slightly wild card to Hilary in the UK.   We both love the zebra!!

I went black and white plus pink and used the sketch.  I used a couple of different embossing folders from sizzix on the background and the front panel.  The leopard print felt is a do craft creation.  The zebra is a Catherine Pooler stamp and the hello is cut using Poppystamps Hello Background plate die.

If you would like to see all the awesome cards that were sent whizzing around the world in March, and why wouldn't you, you can check out the REVEAL.

Bluetiful

Hello Nomad friends.   Hello again!!   Another card for the Poppystamps Cute Critters challenge, this time using the gorgeous Grand Whittle Reindeer.  In blue!!!  Well, I do like blue and he does look rather magnificent whatever shade he is.

I went for a CAS look on a black base card.  I  used some white scraps for the snow cut with Memory Box Gentle Stitched Landscape dies and a spellbinders flower middle for the wacky stars.  The sentiment is a Kort og Godt stamp.

Watch Out For Unicorns

Hello Nomad friends.  The end of the month is nigh and I have been meaning to enter the Poppystamps challenge where they want to see cute critters.  I am a fan of critters and have quite a few of Poppystamps Whittle dies.  I love the large versions in this series and have rolled out Whittle Happy Unicorn and paired it with a Carmen's Veranda sentiment.

I went with slightly weird colours for my slightly deranged unicorn LOL.

Who Needs Business Cards When You Can Have Kvikk Lunsj

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm trying to play along with Endless Passion's Easter Scrap event.  They are on day 25 and I am a bit behind bwahhahaahaaa.  Iwona is doing video tutorials every day for some very fun projects.  The other day she made a cute little two sided box for business cards, but I had a another idea.

This is a really simple make but you get a lovely sturdy two sided box.  I went all spring flowers and bunnies!!!!

Both sides look fairly the same.  I used a Marianne Designs oval die for the ends for that easter egg feel.  Bunny by sizzix.  Grass and tulips by Lawn Fawn.  Pretty patterned paper from the Works.  Big layered flower on the ends made with Spellbinders dies.

So I'm looking at it and I'm thinking that's the perfect size for

kvikk lunsj!!!!
That'll be kit kat for the brits.  I think I could easily fit 6 4 finger bars in this cute little box.  I only had two in hand.......
Kvikk Lunsj is an easter tradition in Norway.
