Cattitude

Hello Nomad friends.

I've used the lovely sketch from De Egel again today, combined with Lost Coast Designs Fat Cat stamp and part of a Carmen's Veranda sentiment.  Gotta admit I have misplaced the punchline! but it's a cat, feel the sarcasm........   The big beautiful paws are a couple of fancy painted metal brads and I scattered a few tiny metal flower brads for compliance and ascetics.  I stamped the cat directly on the patterned paper and water coloured with distress ink.

Santa's Golden Moment

Hello Nomad friends.  The year is galloping on apace and I have been slacking with my xmas card making.  I like to do a few each month so there is no rush at the last minute bwahhhahahahahaaaa who am I fooling LOL.  Anyway, here's santa in his golden bling suit.

I think it should have been golden gloves with white cuffs, but there you go.......  I used sizzix Retro Santa dies and lots of scraps of gold card in various textures and designs.  His gold holographic mirror card suit is certainly looking sparkly.  His belt buckle is a bit of gold metal sheet.  The God Jul (merry christmas) is also a sizzix die.  I nearly cut santa's gloves from that stitch cut bit on the edge, but luckily it survived to play a supporting roll as scenery.

Panda in Bamboo Forest

Hello Nomad friends.  Playing with Panda's again.  So cute.  And a beautiful embossing folder from Spellbinders on red holographic mirror card for a wow and camera challenging card.

The embossing folder is Cascading Leaves and Stripes and it's so lovely.  I have a similar one with cherry blossoms.  What a lovely background it makes.  The panda is a Funky Fossil stamp, stamped on white card and fussy cut.  I added a Kort og Godt die cut sentiment which equates to Happy Birthday.

Autumn Joy

Hello Nomad friends.   Hope you are having a wonderful day.  It started with a little sunshine, but then turned wet, so a great day to adjourn to the craft room and use the lovely sketch from De Egel again.  They also want us to include an animal, so I went crazy with a sizzix die set and used three.

The bear, rabbit, fox and leaves are all from the same die set.  I like the primitive simplicity of these.  Simple shapes with a little bit of layering detail.  The hearts were negative cut leftovers.  I used packaging and bazzill scraps for the animals and leaves.  The main background pieces are Tonic papers and the smaller pieces, more scraps.  The burnt orange piece is embossed with Simon Says Stamp Firework folder.  I used Marianne Design and Gummiapan postage dies.

Strangely Bizarre

Hello Nomad friends.  How are you doing??   Today I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some inspiration for the Inchie Twinchie Domino Challenge.  I had a look through my stamps for some that would fit on dominos (2" x 1") and found this set of Lost Coast Designs Mini Ancient stamps.  Two were a bit small, two were a bit wide, but I trimmed them, and two were perfect!  Then, after advising two friend this evening that chocolate is the answer, it got a little bit quirky...

I stamped the Lost Coast Designs Mini Ancients using brown archival ink, cut them to size and inked the edges with the same brown ink.  My background is Lost Coast Designs Bubbles Background stamped with Prickly Pear archival ink, then over stamped with Lost Coast Designs Drips and sepia archival ink.  I arranged my domino's on the drips and then stamped the Carmen's Veranda Breakfast Chocolate sentiment in brown archival ink.

For September we want to see your stamped makes featuring Inchies (1" x 1"), Twinchies (2" x 2"), and/or Dominos (2" x 1")  You can make said Inchies, Twinchies or Dominos with real rubber or clear stamping, or you can incorporate these sizes into your project in another way, perhaps chop up your background, or your foreground, cut windows, or maybe make a three dimensional shape, or a tiny album.  Be brave, join the fun.  The team is sharing awesome projects all month so do pop over to check out all the amazing inspiration.

Golden Leaves

Hello Nomad friends.  I've made a simple sort of card today with Poppystamp dies.

I die cut from the same card as the base for a faux embossing look, but couldn't resist adding a touch of sunflower archival ink.  I used Poppystamps Harvest Oval Frame, Playful Hugs and the large butterfly is Intricate Cut Butterflies, cut from some pinkish card.  I added a yellow satin ribbon, cos September is Children Cancer month, and a tiny Cheery Lynn cut butterfly on top.

I hope you are having a wonderful day.  If not, have a hug from me.  Well, have a hug anyway.  We all need hugs, no matter how the day is going.

Game On

Hello Nomad friends.  I have my first inspiration piece today for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity Inchie Twinchie Domino Challenge.  We want to see your stamped makes featuring Inchies (1" x 1"), Twinchies (2" x 2"), and/or Dominos (2" x 1")  You can make said Inchies, Twinchies or Dominos with real rubber or clear stamping, or you can incorporate these sizes into your project in another way, perhaps chop up your background, or your foreground, cut windows, or maybe make a three dimensional shape, or a tiny album.  The possibilities are endless.......

I decided to chop up my background into bits and piece it back together.

I stamped Carmen's Veranda Dice Background using yellow ink on white card and then chopped it into 1" x 1", 2" x 2" and 2" x 1" pieces.  I arranged the inchie, twinchie and domino size pieces onto a black card square and then added a yellow mat behind.  I stamped Carmen's Veranda Alfred Hitchcock Standing on white card with black ink, fussy cut him and added him to the card.  To finish I stamped Lost Coast Designs Happy Birthday on one of the domino pieces.
