The Curious Case of Floating Frank

Hello Nomad friends. I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some bootastic inspiration for the 31 Days of Halloween celebration.  If you are a regular visitor here you are possibly aware of my love for Frank and his famous friends by Carmen's Veranda.

I've used a card shape called a Floating Centre Panel Gatefold, which I found the instruction for over at Papercrafting with Paul.  I adjusted the dimensions to accommodate the stamped images I used, so this is a slimline version.  I used Lost Coast Designs Fourth Dimension for the background and floating band, Carmen's Veranda Hourglass on the two gatefold end panels and the lovely Carmen's Veranda Frank as the centre piece.  This is how it looks, flat for sending.

And here he is, popping out to woo you with his handsomeness.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Hello Nomad friends.  Yes, me again.   My last offering for this evening cos I have to make cookie dough!!!   But first,

🎵Santa Claus is Coming to Town🎵

I've gone all blue and slimline.   In the sizzix Vault Christmas Magic dies again and a random blue circle.  The blue snow was a newly found scrap.

Things That Go Bump In The Night

Hello Nomad friends.  I have joined a scrapathon at Papirglede this weekend and Mr Mojo is inspired!!   They have set out 10 tasks already and here's my second offering.  I used the sketch from Seven Hills and made this interesting masculine autumnal geometric card.

On top of everything else that's happening I have finally really put my head down and started to sort out the mountains of stuff I have been ignoring in my craft room.  I'm probably about half way there, but am turning up some interesting 'bits', hence this curious combination.  I embossed the background panel with Altenew Banana Leaves embossing folder and then added some scrap bits.  The car is a small sizzix embossing folder and I cut around the car. The sentiment is a Memory Box chippy.

Thanks for dropping by.  Off to check out the first night challenge...  I do my best work after midnight....  Hugz

Fairy Princess

Hello Nomad friends.   I wanted to have a go at this card design I saw over at Kaartjes Inspiratie Challenges Blog.  It looks complex, but Renate has done a nice video and supplied the measurements.  I used a pack of princess papers I had which also had printed die cut ephemera.   OK, lots of pictures......

This is what it looks like closed

First flaps open

Second flaps open

Center flaps open

Then you have the tags in the hidden pockets.  I used some of the ephemera for these, added some of the fairies and backed then with plain card cut to shape.  I also added extra glitter.

This is the back of the card.

Thanks for dropping by.  I'm joining the Papirglede scrapathon this weekend so I'll be back real soon......Hugz

Mammoth Autumn

Hello Nomad friends.  Isn't it sad so many cool animals are extinct.  Would have loved a Dodo, or a Quagga.  How about a Mammoth.  All that gorgeous hair and tusks to boot.

Loving this.  I went autumn colours and a Mammoth!!  I used yellow plaid Paper Rose Easter Sunday patterned paper and embossed with Couture Creations I Dream embossing folder.  I smudged the texture with archival inks in orange and red.  I cut another piece of the Easter Sunday papers with Paper Rose Radial Circle die and added Beach Scene Circle cut from scrap of coloured paper.  I stamped one of the mammoths from the Wooly Mammoth stamp set and one of the sentiments on brown card and added a touch of colour.  Fussy cut your mammoth and add him to the card for autumn perfection.

Black Cats Get a Bad Rap

Hello Nomad friends.  I am flying in with some more inspiration for the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity 31 Days of Halloween challenge.  I've made a scene featuring Lost Coast Designs Witch 2 and Yoga Cat 10

I stamped the background with Lost Coast Designs Pieces of Calligraphy and Window and Large Circle Shadow Frame with yellow and orange distress ink for the 'moon'.  I gave the background a watercolour wash with blue distress inks.  I stamped Witch 2, Yoga Cat 10 and Carmen's Veranda Witches Go Riding sentiment on white card, fussy cut, added some colour to the witch and added them to the panel.  Yoga cat lost of legs was intentional LOL.

Pretty Papers

Hello Nomad friends.  Another Christmas card inspired by patterned papers that seemed a perfect match for the Christmas Kickstart colour challenge.   I also used the Build your Stash Holiday Cardmakers sketch.

The bit of blue stars and moon was left over from earlier and I cut the sizzix Vault Winter Wishes from a piece of dark blue with stars on it.  The God Jul (merry Christmas in Norwegian) was stamped in navy ink using a Kort og Godt stamp.
