Vintage Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Hello Nomad friends.  Last card of the month and I fancied a bit of vintage style christmas.  

I've used a Stampendous stamp called Postcard Santa and I stamped with brown archival and distress ink, then spritzed with water to cause the distress ink to run.  After everything dried out I added some distress ink and gel pen colour to the santa.

Twirling Tulips

Hello Nomad friends.  More flowers!!   Must be having a moment.  

Spellbinders have some lovely embossing folders and this one is called Twirling Tulips.  I started with a piece of patterned card and inked the inside of my folder with black archival.  Then I added some distress marker green to the stems and touches of orange to the blooms.  The sentiment Spellbinders Sweet Birthday stamp set and I cut it with lovely fancy die from Spellbinders Filligree 8 Point Star set.

Pop Up Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.   Nothing like a bit of after midnight crafting to wake Mr Mojo up!!!   I've been playing with this idea for a while and decided it's now or never!   Well, now or never this month LOL.

Well, that's rather anti-climaxical isn't it!!!

Try this!!!!

I've used Karen Burniston Bitty Ball dies for my pop-up singer.   The text is the Norwegian version of Silent Night.  The snowy snowflake papers are from a Panduro pad and my singer is built mostly from Bazzill with a bit of handmade paper for his clothes.

 

I'm using a belly band to keep the card closed and decorated the bit underneath with some more of the same papers and a little rose gold mirror.  Difficult to see but there's a snowflake in the middle cut using Memory Box Snowflake Collage die to allow the mirror card to show through.  The stamp is by Papirdesigns.  The wavy circle die is by Kort og Godt.

Pot of Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.   I am having an inspired end of month and decided to go all floral.  Well, that's a rarity for me, but the Towering Blooms die from Spellbinders is just such fun to use.

I've paired pinks with black for a nice colour pop, and used Spellbinders beautiful Punch and Pierce Frame for some nice dramatic effect.  That spikey edge is so cool!!   Wonder how it will travel through the post?  Like a hedgehog maybe....... Re-inforced envelope required bwahahhaaahahahaaaa.

Star Bright Star Light

Hello Nomad friends.  I hope you are all well and staying safe and warm.  It's very windy here this evening but at least we are just about a snow free zone again.  I'm sharing a starry CAS make this evening using a Funky Fossil die called Starry Spiral.

I added glitter behind the stars and a simple thank you stamp from Time For Tea.

Don't Step On My Blue Suede Shoes

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope your February is going slower than mine!  This card was inspired by a card made by Heidi over at Scrappelyst.  I got this really cool paper pad from Funky Fossil called Gamer Zone.  It's filled with gorgeous but often busy patterns that I just didn't want to cover.  Then I saw Heidi's card and was inspired.

I used Visible Image stamp for the legs and the words are all Kort og Godt.  The konfirmant die was cut from a pretty scrap of cardboard packaging.  I used a Gummiapan stitch die for the square, cutting round the toe of the shoe before using the die so it gives that little fun out of the frame detail.  

I ripped one of the offcuts of the background paper to add some fun detail inside the card.

Cat Owl

Hello Nomad friends.  The snow is melting and they have forecast rain.  Hope the ground thaws out a bit first or the hens will be wading around and me too!!  I had a bit of a tidy today and then decided to craft.  My brain is jumping a bit all over the place so I ended up with 5 starts and luckily one completion!!

This one is particularly for Funky Fossil challenge where the three prompts this month are yellow, CAS and gratitude.  CAS is a great friend of mine, although the first card base was hustled rapidly to one side when I managed to drop the black ink pad sunny side down!!   I'll grunge it up for another make.  Kepping plenty of space here by stamping the Funky Fossil Midnight Minx kitty down in the corner with her tail off the page.  I added a little colour with distress markers and stamped the Time For Tea sentiment with yellow ink.

Bunny Tag

Hello Nomad friends.  Woke up to a bucketing down with snow day.  Not impressed.  Hens not impressed.  Cat not impressed.  Let's craft!!!  

I am die cutting some scraps and chucking the results in a container.  Today I decided to have a rattle through and pulled out a grey tag, a bunny, a few stars, a couple of pointy black bits and a preprinted sentiment that all seemed to fit together nicely.  

I used distress oxide ink on the tag and stamped some numbers from the visible image white rabbit set using yellow Dox.   The bunny is a Papirdesigns die and the stars and black pointy bits are cut with spellbinders dies.  I also found a perfect scrape of black and white handspun wool that finished it off to perfection.

Ginger in Giraffe Print Trousers

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy Valentines Day.  I think this is a kinda universally celebrated day, so I hope you get lots of love and pampering and chocolate.  I am so far 0 for 3, but the day is young........ 

Don't you love it when the picture in your head works!!!  I've gone all clean and simple with Funky Fossil's Stoneage caveman and pretty Celestial Dreams stencil.  I used yellow distress ink and distress markers on the cavedude.  Then I stamped the sentiment on his sign.

Papercraft Challenge 126 - Anything Goes 

Yeah Yeah Yeah

Hello Nomad friends.  I have been working on this one for a few days and this evening it all fell into place.  I was inspired by Duffy's song Mercy.  That's me, a big fat bunny boogieing on down....

I made a splatty background with Colourcraft Aztec paints on yellow card.  I used a couple of star frame die cuts and coloured with yellow and peach to match my colour scheme.  Then I grabbed a bag of blue scraps and die cut the Alexandra Renke frames and the Simon Says Stamp tag and heart.  The bunny is by Uniko, stamped on a scrap of floral paper and fussy cut.  The sentiment is a Creative Expressions stamp set.   I had a little wobble with the sentiment, but then you would, wouldn't you, stamping to the beat bwahahahahahaa.

Spring Wedding

Hello Nomad friends.  For some reason I have been wanting to make wedding cards the last few days.  Here's the first one I've completed using Unity Couples stamps.  

 

The plain cardstock is Bazzill, two linen texture and the dark green is a hammered type card.  I also used some scraps of card with yellow flowers on it for the sentiment banner, heart and patterned side panel. The couple were stamped on scraps of white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut. The heart is a Simon Says Stamp die and the banner was cut with some fishtail dies which have a lovely fine pierced edge detail.  I don't know the maker but I do love the chance to use them.

Wardrobe Malfunction

Hello Nomad friends.  The second of the month sooooooooo........ time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  Hurrah!!   Another month of sending love around the world one card at a time.  Well, 26 actually cos there were 26 awesome crafters who shared card love this month.   Mine whizzed to Jo in the UK.  Hello Jo.  

I do love to send hugz in envelopes!!  Isn't she boob-dacious!  Stamps by Funky Fossil from their Stone Age stamp set.  I also stamped her 'dog' and the leopard print hearts and had a fussy cut fest!!   The ripped paper is also from a FF designer paper set.  I went with the options of feet and friendship.  Maybe layers as well??  Yeah, layers.

Skull Watch

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy Month of Love.  It's February and I am kicking off the month over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some inspiration  for the Love and Hearts Challenge.  Looking through the Lost Coast Design stamps I came up with a lovely combo for a CAS style card.

I used Lost Coast Designs White Nose Sugar Skull, Hearts and Curl Border and Love Dictionary Words for this card.  I stamped the Love words directly on the white card panel using red archival ink.  I stamped the border stamp on white card with the same red ink, trimmed it and mounted it on a red card layer before adding it to the card base.  The sugar skull was stamped on white card, coloured with distress markers and gel pens, fussy cut and added to the card.  Those little layers add some lovely dimension.
