Panda Party

Hello Nomad friends.  Made an envelope fold card for the Lunar New Year Challenge featuring Beloved Panda in relax mode.

 

I used Funky Fossil red and yellow papers and from the Comic Book Chaos paper pad and folded it into an envelope pocket card.  

 

I have a removable tag in the pocket stamped with Hero Arts Autumn Moon stamps.  I have folded up the bottom of the tag so it a gift card or tea bag is tucked in the pocket it will lift out with the tag.  The panda's are Funky Fossil stamps.  The tag removed reveals sleepy beloved panda.

 Inside I added another panda, with a gold and red parasol.

Because You Are Special

Hello Nomad friends.  I've been having fun creating today and since I was doing a gold blue palette I rummaged through the scraps before I started and grabbed all the golds and blues I could find.  It made a nice pile and an even better result.

I used a simply lovely sketch from Endless Passion and Tonic Ava dies.  The 'to you' and lightning bolt and heart are Papirdesign dies.  The holographic gold scrap was embossed with sizzix rays folder.

I turned it into an easel and used another Papirdesign die for the stop.

What a Weird Day

Hello Nomad friends. Happy Accension day.  Hope you have had a lovely day.  I've made a hello baby card using some Memory Box and Poppystamp dies.

I found some fancy handmade blue pearlescent paper and backed the die cut circle with some smooched aztec paint card.  I used Memory Box Baby Script and Precious Mobile cut from scraps of blue and yellow card respectively.  I used markers to colour the frame, hearts and stars.  Then I used some more scraps of the blue and Poppystamps Hello Background die for the hello!

Pink Spirit

Hello Nomad friends.  Not a bad day in spite of the forecast.  We live in an area that experiences very very local weather so it's always fun to grip the day and see if the weatherfolk have been hit or miss.  Today the miss was in our favour.  I have a hen in the process of hatching some chicks.  Three were hatched this morning and she is still sitting on a couple more eggs.  Not expecting much from those, but hopefully I will be pleasantly surprized.  Eggs and chickens are amazing things.  Decided to celebrate with a boosy bottle tag.

 

I made a distress ink splashy background and cut it with Avery Elle Sip Sip Horray tag die.  Then I embossed with the spider web in Poppystamps Halloween Assemblege die set.  The cute Ghost is from the same set.  I did a bit of tricky die cutting using a circle frame and Poppystamps Echo Blossoms die sets for the bit behind the ghost.  Then I found a couple of stamps and some die cut letters to make the Enjoy The Boos sentiment.

Drought, Bugs and Awesome Folds

Hello Nomad friends.  April and May have been hot and toasty here, with occasional big winds and very cold nights.  They forecast rain today so I was determined to get my craft on.  The rain hasn't really made a huge appearance yet, but I did manage to make this card with an awesome sliding panel centre inspired by dimensions from Scrappehygge med Scrappehuset.  

I used ScrapBoys Rosalie papers and dies from Kort og Godt to make a special confirmation card.

Inside.  All the panels slide out and there is more space on the back of the panels to add some photo's or messages.

Purple Polar

Hello Nomad friends.  I've made a cozy christmas card using Hero Arts layered bear dies and the lovely sketch from Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers. 

I decided to go with shades of purple using some scraps of purple.  Love this sketch for it's simplicity, cool look and it's great for using up small scraps.  I cut the bear from white bazzill and used sharpies to colour the bear, and some of the scraps of white to cut the snowflakes and sentiment strip.  The sentiment is a Hobby Arts stamp.

Bad Beanie

Hello Nomad friends.  with a little inspiration for the the Are You Kidding Me!! challenge.   Lost Coast Designs has a new set called Comic Kids and I've used Beanie and a slightly naughty sentiment from Carmen's Veranda.

 

Beanie!!!   What a sassy little fellow he is!  I stamped the background with Lost Coast Designs Cat Quotes stamp.  Beanie was stamped, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.

More Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  Well, I was in the groove.  Gotta grab these inspired moments, they seem to have been in short supply the last few months.   

I used some gifted items for this one.  I sometimes take part in a happy share where we send a small gift of crafty goodies to another crafter, and that's where this doily, pretty house background paper and Marianne Design girl came from.  It just looked good together.

It's Christmas!!!!

Hello Nomad friends.  Relax!  Breathe!!   Just fancied a little Christmas making on this lovely sunny May day.  I've gone bright with some offcuts from Funky Fossil's Comic Book Chaos paperpad and Jo was kind enough to send me these cute Funky Fossil Snow Folk stamps.  The snowman and all the little motifs come from the same stamp set.

 

I cut the little squares from a 9cm x 10cm piece I had and then the large square was another scrap from the same paper pad.  I had the idea to cut and stamp the small circles and cut them all from small scraps of white card, of which I have a multitude.  I coloured the big snowman with promarkers and I've used the BYSH sketch for my design.

Embracing my Inner Child

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity again today with some fun kids for the Are You Kidding Me!! challenge. There is a new set called Comic Kids that Linda has been selling at shows, so I know some of you have already got these crazy kids.  I've used two of them on my graffiti style card today

 

I've used Hero Arts Neon Ombre inks on this card for a bright effect.  I stamped the Carmen's Veranda sentiment with black archival and then stamped the two Comic Kids with the neon inks.  I cut one pair of hands off of Lost Coast Designs Handprints Border and randomly stamped it in various neon inks.  To finish I inked the edge with the neon ink and mounted on a green base card.

Bunny Friends

Hello Nomad friends.   2nd of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge reveal.  Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card.  We are all winners!!!   This card exchange means a lot to me.  So many fabulous friends and amazing artists sending love around the planet every month.  This time my card went to Barbara in Switzerland and I used the sketch with friends and bunny options.

 

I went with spring colours of yellow and green and this lovely bunny die by Papirdesigns cut from black and kraft card.  I've applied orange distress ink to my yellow card by simply stamping with the ink pad randomly over the yellow card.  The sun is also a Papirdesigns die and I stamped the words using Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words stamp set.

Beanie Baby

Hello Nomad friends.  1st of May!!  I hope you have an awesome sunny day.  We had a 4 year old twins party to go to.  A fun time was had by all.  But now......

Start of the month so a gazillion of new challenges.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with a card for the Are You Kidding Me??? challenge.  We want to see kids on your stamped anything.  If you make em funny kids we will be so happy.   Just in case we will also accept something funny, but we really really want to see kids.  There hasn't been so much support for our challenge, which is a pity because we do have an amazing team, working their socks off to inspire you, and we also have a real rubber stamp prize.  But we need at least 20 entries, so do think of us if you are stamping children and/or funny ha ha ha.  Here's my card featuring the Baby Checklist and a new comic kid...

Love this Baby Checklist from Lost Coast Designs.  It's pretty comprehensive, even including an adult section!!   And look at that cute Beanie boy.  Love his helicopter hat.
