Someone Ate All The Chocolate

Hello Nomad friends.  I have made a cute little chocolate gift holder following directions from Hobbykunst Day 3.  Unfortunately you will just have to imagine the chocolate cos I am totally out of twix, which me feels may have fitted two to a side, and someone has run off with all the kwik lunsj!!!   Possibly those two little singing santa's who were at the door earlier today!!!!!

Still with the Lexi Design Christmas Loft patterned papers and also used Poppystamps Grand Whittle Reindeer and Brilliant Star Oval dies.  

It's the same front and back, and I really must remedy the sad chocolate situation tomorrow!!!

A Tag Within A Tag

Hello Nomad friends.  Here's a pocket tag, with a tag in the pocket!

I used Lexi Design Christmas Loft for my tag pocket and cut Poppystamps Snowflake Corner Frame from white card.   I stamped the Papirdesigns christmas sentiment on a scrap of the xmas loft card and tucked it behind the edge of the snowflake.  

Inside the pocket is another tag urging the recipient to check vipps, an instant pay app in Norway.  I used a handle brad on the corner of my tag so it can be easily retrieved from the pocket.

Shake That Star

Hello Nomad friends.   Ooh, it's shaker time!!!

 

 

I've gone slimline and used Lexi Designs Christmas Loft papers for my patterned layer.  I used the merry christmas star die from Papirdesigns to cut the aperture and then used acetate and craft foam to build my shaker.  I added the some sequins and cut the same star from gold mirror card to finish.

Birthday Dog

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some simple inspiration.  The December challenge is Anything Goes with stamping.  I made a winter birthday card featuring Lost Coast Designs Pokey Dog

 

Isn't he adorbs!!!

I stamped and masked Pokey Dog on a piece of pale beige card.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Circles and finished with a Party Words Happy Birthday!!

Squueeeeeee! Cuteness Alert

Hello Nomad friends.  I have been playing with some cute images, some scraps and a slim tag die and made a few very cute bookmarks.  

 

 Isn't he adorbs!!!  The cute winter animals are from Alchemy of Art and the scraps for the bookmark base are from Lexi Design Cinnamon Christmas.  I cut the base with a sizzix tag die and then the animal image with the same die.  I stuck the top half of the image to the longer piece, making sure the glue was only at the top of the image.

Happy New Horse

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope you are having a wonderful December.  Bit wet here, but good excuse to sit in and craft.  I have been arranging a few scraps this morning and ended up with a Happy New Year card featuring this pretty horse die.

The scraps are from Funky Fossil papers and the horse was cut from a bit of corrugated card using a Fuzzy Lemon die.

Quick and To The Point

Hello Nomad friends.  December is a busy month so over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity it's Anything Goes with stamping.  I've gone really simple and another bottle tag, cos it's a well received gift and looks properly dressed with a fun label.

I cut the bottle tag using an Avery Elle die and smeared the edges with tumbled glass distress ink.  I stamped the lady face from Lost Coast Designs Up Close and Personal and cut it out with a circle die.  The Carmen's Veranda sentiment was stamped directly on the tag and I added the face in the middle.

Handle With Care

I've made a bottle tag using Lost Coast Designs Sleeping Gnome with Sign and Pondscum Background for added texture.  I cut the bottle tag using an Avery Elle die and blended various green distress inks.  Then I stamped the Pondscum Background using one of the darker greens.  I stamped the gnome on white card, coloured with markers and fussy cut.

Hello Baby

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I am so happy to be guesting over at the Allsorts blog.  Liz has picked the theme of New, and since my nephew and his partner are expecting, I thought a new baby card was an idea.

I used House Mouse woodblock Nap Time stamp and coloured with distress markers.  I stamped it on white card and cut with a Spellbinders heart die.  I edged the heart and card base with pink ink and used the same ink through a word stencil with no provenance for the sentiment.

 I hope you get time to join the fun at Allsorts with your take on New, but remember there is always the option of Anything Goes.

Giving the Gift of Light

Hello Nomad friends.  The weather continues fairly warm for the time of year and I finally planted some garlic, which has been on my to do list for a couple of months.  First time trying garlic, so wish me luck.  Then I came in doors, warmed up and made this sparkly lantern gift box.

I used Tonic Multi-sided Lantern Box Dies.  It's an old set and I have used it to make three and four sided boxes but today I splashed out and went with a five sided box.  I used black card for the base panels and orange glitter card for the sparkly bits.  I also added the same glitter card inside the base of the box to  throw back some light.  The front panel is cut through and I added a battery tea light inside.  I also have plans to add a bag of caramelised almonds when I get my sugar head on. 

 

 My little helper was intrigue by my pull bow and really helped the process!!
I've added a couple of small silver baubles to the bow decorated top and the pretty star die is from Papirdesigns.

In the Twilight Burning

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the second of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge reveal.  25 amazing cardmakers took part in the November exchange and cards went whizzing their way around the planet.  Some are still whizzing, but I am hopeful they will soon all land safely.  I received a beautiful card from Michaela in Austria, thanks Michaela, and my card went to Wendy in Ireland.  Top of the morning to you Wendy.

 

 I went with the colour options, and if anyone other than me is not sure, Crackling Campfire is not red!!   Good job we don't expect exact colour matching bwhahahaahahaa.  I also went with the feather option, choosing to leave mine on the bird, and abstract, doing a little abstract stencilling in the background using bits from a sizzix layered set.  The gorgeous toucan is a Creative Expressions Papercuts die on it's first outing (NBUS) and I offset the stencilled panel on my pale blue cardbase.

Sketchy Santa

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the last of November.  Happy Birthday Mum.  Hope you have an awesome day.  There are still a couple of challenges I wanted to join in with so I made another Christmas card.  I am sure they will come in handy lol.   

For this card I used offcuts from Laserowe Love Winter Fun patterned papers, bits or red and white card. The santa and parcel are clip outs that came with the patterned paper set.  I also used Hero Arts Winter Hearth dies and stamps for the fireplace and stocking and Hero Arts Jingle All The Way for the candy cane.

The card design is based on a sketch over at Scrappehygge med Scrappehuset which gives a fun pocket.  Might get a christmas tea bag in there.......

Simple, Bold and Snake!!!!

Hello Nomad friends.  I know many people don't like snakes, so please look away now.  

For all you brave souls and ophiophiles, this one is pretty adorable.

I stamped the Hero Arts Happy Birthday from Bandicoot & Friends set on the yellow panel and embossed with Simon Says Stamp Circle Hoops embossing folder.   I die cut the Provocraft snake and Papirdesign postage stamp  from scraps og card and layered them up for a bold expression of colours.

NBUS Challenge 80 the snake is a really old die, but I just bought him, so I'm actually pretty quick with his conversion from NBUS to US, and the postage die I have had a while but first outing today.

Falling Off The Christmas Wagon

Hello Nomad friends.   Whilst digging out my angel earlier I also spotted this hare die.  Bunnies and hares have a special place in my heart and I decided to go masculine and plaid and make a birthday card tag combo.  

The grey plaid card is from Card Creations, and yes, it's that old!!!   But isn't it pretty.  I cut the sizzix hare from ex-beer box kraft and the moon is blue glitter card.  I used Stamplorations Luggage Tag die.

I was going for a standard 10cm x 15cm card, but mini-slimline seem to suit better.   Small is beautiful.
