Where Did You Get That Hat???

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh April!!   The most hoppiest month of the year.  Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity the challenge for April is Where's My Hat?  We want to see your stamped anythings featuring headgear.  I had a look through my Lost Coast Designs stamps and found lots with hats!  Today I have used one of the images from Doodle Dolls 1 set, and I found she also featured on the Postage set, so I've made a slimline collage style birthday card.

I used archival ink in shades on blue and red and did some ink mixing on the stamps to give some variegated colours.  The background stamp is Lost Coast Designs PMC Circle Frame.  I used a die cut to make the oval frame and arranged the Postage stamps and Doodle Doll on it after I had stamped and fussy cut them.  I stamped the Happy Birthdays using Lost Coast Designs Party Words and die cut with a Waffle Flower die.

I hope you get time to join the Where's My Hat? fun.  We need at least 20 entries to award the prize so tell your friends and add your stamped hatty makes to the linky.

Hot Pink Full House

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the second of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  I went a little wild this month and claiming another full house creation.  Seems like 2025 might be the year for it!!!!   So, the Card Chain Challenge!  Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card, everyone is a winner!!!   I sent this pink fluffy slightly wild card to Hilary in the UK.   We both love the zebra!!

I went black and white plus pink and used the sketch.  I used a couple of different embossing folders from sizzix on the background and the front panel.  The leopard print felt is a do craft creation.  The zebra is a Catherine Pooler stamp and the hello is cut using Poppystamps Hello Background plate die.

If you would like to see all the awesome cards that were sent whizzing around the world in March, and why wouldn't you, you can check out the REVEAL.

Bluetiful

Hello Nomad friends.   Hello again!!   Another card for the Poppystamps Cute Critters challenge, this time using the gorgeous Grand Whittle Reindeer.  In blue!!!  Well, I do like blue and he does look rather magnificent whatever shade he is.

I went for a CAS look on a black base card.  I  used some white scraps for the snow cut with Memory Box Gentle Stitched Landscape dies and a spellbinders flower middle for the wacky stars.  The sentiment is a Kort og Godt stamp.

Watch Out For Unicorns

Hello Nomad friends.  The end of the month is nigh and I have been meaning to enter the Poppystamps challenge where they want to see cute critters.  I am a fan of critters and have quite a few of Poppystamps Whittle dies.  I love the large versions in this series and have rolled out Whittle Happy Unicorn and paired it with a Carmen's Veranda sentiment.

I went with slightly weird colours for my slightly deranged unicorn LOL.

Who Needs Business Cards When You Can Have Kvikk Lunsj

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm trying to play along with Endless Passion's Easter Scrap event.  They are on day 25 and I am a bit behind bwahhahaahaaa.  Iwona is doing video tutorials every day for some very fun projects.  The other day she made a cute little two sided box for business cards, but I had a another idea.

This is a really simple make but you get a lovely sturdy two sided box.  I went all spring flowers and bunnies!!!!

Both sides look fairly the same.  I used a Marianne Designs oval die for the ends for that easter egg feel.  Bunny by sizzix.  Grass and tulips by Lawn Fawn.  Pretty patterned paper from the Works.  Big layered flower on the ends made with Spellbinders dies.

So I'm looking at it and I'm thinking that's the perfect size for

kvikk lunsj!!!!
That'll be kit kat for the brits.  I think I could easily fit 6 4 finger bars in this cute little box.  I only had two in hand.......
Kvikk Lunsj is an easter tradition in Norway.

Haallllooooooooooo

Hello Nomad friends.  It's actually been quite a creative weekend for me, inspired by some online fun.  I do work well to a deadline LOL.

This was for a sketch challenge, and I was so happy to be inspired to use this fun Amy Tangerine camera embossing folder.  I used Studio Light Saturday Afternoon ephemera pack and went a bit mad with Radiant Neon Electric Green ink.  I'm sure someone will need this card one day.

Crazy Dogs

Hello Nomad friends.  Made some ATC's using Crazy Dogs.  Oldies but goodies.

I used two shades of pink distress ink on the background and stencilled using walnut stain distress and stampers anonymous halloween stencil.  Then I stamped Concord and 9th Geode rings with black ink.  The crazy dogs were stamped on brown card, fussy cut and I added a little gel pen/distress marker colour.  I used a sizzix ATC die to cut the ATC's.

Beautiful Pop Up

Hello Nomad friends.  I'm having fun with some online meetings and Endless Passion are having a 40 day Easter scrap.  They shared this awesome pop up so I had a go and made a confirmation card for a horse enthusiast.

I used some really old Basic Grey papers, a Cheery Lynn doily die and konfirmant die and lovely horse stamps from Kort og Godt.

Ta dah!!!!!   What a pop up.  It's impressive!!
More Basic Grey papers and all the stamps are Kort og Godt

Christmas Pizza

Hello Nomad friends.  Lovely sunny day today but bitter cold wind.  A nice day to hide in the greenhouse.  Also finished this Christmas card I started last night using kraft and white.

The pretty winter picture is from Reprint.  All the kraft card is bits of a co-op pizza box.  I used various dies from Spellbinders and Gummiapan and stamps from Kort og Godt.  Isn't that Santa reindeer sleigh postmark so sweet!!!

Thoughtful Geisha

Hello Nomad friends.  It's been a gorgeous but busy day.   I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with another lovely lady from the Lost Coast Designs catalogue.  Creating for the I Am Woman Challenge and I've used the beautiful Geisha from the Asian set against a Large Shrubbery Background

She's so pretty!!  I stamped the Shrubbery with Prickly Pear archival and the Travel Quotes sentiment with black ink.  I stamped the geisha on two pieces of card, one pink and one green, fussy cut the pieces and pieced her back together.

I hope you get time to join the I Am Woman challenge and don't forget to check all the wonderful inspiration from the team on the blog.

Crittercal Support

Hello Nomad friends.  I love critters.  Most critters are friends of mine.  Used this cute little dog from Pink and Main and a lovely sketch from De Egel, which I turned 180°, for this black and white plus one.

The background is from Pink and Main Good Vibes paper set cut with a Gummiapan stitch square die.  I inked the cut edges.  I found a tiny scrap of red foiled card with a wiggle edge and a scrap of black rose paper.  I cut the black rose paper with a double crazy stitch die.  I cut two hearts and stamped them with a Stampendous Kitty sentiment

Little paws......... BIG warm heart

Squuueeeeeee!  So cute, and the Pink and Main Hot Dog stamp.

Go Bravely

Hello Nomad friends.  Me again with a second UFO finished!!   So good to get these off my desk.   This is a confirmation card I was working on.  Another one for the boys.

I used a lot of scraps for this one.  The blue piece wasn't quite wide enough for my slimline base but I found another skinny piece of silver patterned card which I cut strategically to give me the two thin strips and also the small pieces above and below the boy.  I embossed the blue piece with sizzix travel words folder.  The boy is stamped on a piece of tea box and die cut with a matching die and I raided the black scraps for the two sentiments, both dies from Papirdesigns.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Easter Bunny

Hello Nomad friends.  It's been a lovely day today with sunshine and warm temps.  I was out planting some seeds in pots and wobbling around in the garden admiring the crocus, which today were hosting bees!!   That's early, and I hope they got home safe, cos the fog rolled in this evening.  It's chilly out there and very Hounds of the Baskerville!!!!   Anyway, let's craft!!  I've had a couple of UFO's on the desk and finally got them to work this evening.

I made a layered slimline base using Lexi Home from Home rose papers and some stitchy frilly dies.  Then it all came to a halt until I remembered these egg dies from Funky Fossil.  I cut the fancy layer from gold mirror card and coloured the eggs behind in pastel shades.  Then I cut out this bunny and flower wreathe from P13 Forest Tea Party papers.  Gotta love a cute bunny.   I seem to be lacking easter sentiments but found this Pink and Main Have a Beautiful Day stamp that seemed perfect.

Hope you have had a beautiful day.  Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Colourful Frida

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity again today with some more inspiration for the I Am Woman challenge.  I decided to use the lovely Frida Face from Carmen's Veranda in another quite simple but colourful card.

I stamped Carmen's Veranda Southwest Town in yellow archival on white card.  Rather than block in the background with colour I just outlined the top of the card with blue and the bottom of the card with yellow.  I stamped Frida on a piece of white card with navy ink, then stamped her dress with red ink and fussy cut the two pieces.  I layered them together and added her to the card.  Finally I stamped Art Wings Fly sentiment in various colour inks.  Feeling simply colourful.

Basket of Eggs

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with a little inspiration for the current I Am Woman challenge. Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda have so many lovely ladies.  Grab your stamps and join us.  We need at least 20 entries to award the prize, and I do so love giving away Linda's stamps LOL.

I've gone for a clean and simple design today, but I had great fun colouring Lost Coast Designs Harvest Angel.  Since Easter is approaching I coloured her in bright spring colours and gave her a basket of pastel colour eggs.  I stamped the background using one of the Pieces of Calligraphy stamps with yellow ink.  I stamped Harvest Angel on a piece of white card, coloured and fussy cut it.  Gotta love a square fussy cut LOL.  Then I stamped part of Carmen's Veranda Queen of Everything stamp to get the Happy Birthday.

Astronomic

Hello Nomad friends.  The second of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  25 lovely ladies joined the February exchange, including one new player, Darlene in Canada.  Welcome Darlene.  It's always nice to get some new friends to exchange with.  We are a very friendly and super talented group, so if you like to send and receive happy mail maybe give us a whirl.  I sent my card to Julia in Massachusetts and this month I used the Celestial option.

I do love a cute astronaut!!  I went with a black basecard and black background panel that I embossed with Memory Box Grand Galaxy embossing folder.  I added a Funky Fossil layered die cut moon cut from silver paper and gold and rose gold mirror card.  I stamped, fussy cut and coloured the cute FF astronuat with distress markers and gel pens, and the sentiment is from another FF set.

Sssplendid Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the year of the Snake.  I don't have much snakey stash, but I did find this Hero Arts Snake stencil.  I've used it on some panels I cut when I was doing a 'poloroid' project.

There!!  Ssubtley ssnakey!!  I added a big beautiful Hero Arts Paper Layering Swirl Flower which I cut from red card and gold glitter paper.  Love how the sections fold out on this pretty die.  Then I added a little Memory Box chippy birthday sentiment.

Friends Forever

Hello Nomad friends.  Memory Box has a friendship challenge this month.  I am all about friends.  So I made a card using this cute little Sitting Sparrow die, which always makes me think of my friend Linda.  I also used my most favouritest friend sentiment from Crafty Individuals.

I used an orange panel and cut Memory Box Tree of Wonder out of it.  Then I embossed with Simon Says Stamp Fireworks folder.  I backed the orange panle with some Simple Stories patterned paper.  I stamped the Crafty Individuals sentiment on a strip of white card and die cut Memory Box Sitting Sparrow from scraps of craft and plaid.

A Story to Tell

Hello Nomad friends.  I love real books.  Easy to sit down and get lost in the pages.  I've used a couple of Waffle Flower stamp sets to make this card featuring books.

The big book from Waffle Flower Book and Coffee set I stamped 4 times on the white card base and also the bear with the book on a separate piece of card and cut with a circle die.  Then I used various sentiments and icons from Waffle Flower Recharge set on the background book and on the cut circle.  I popped the cut circle up on a piece of foam for extra suspense.

The Boys Are Back In Town

Hello Nomad friends.  I stumbled and fell with a shaker I was attempting but this confirmation card has turned out rather splendid.

I used a large nesting shape die set from Kort og Godt for the card base and panel.  The boy is a stamp die combo also from Kort og Godt, as is the stamped sentiment on the screen.  The laptop is a Marianne Design die.  Maybe I shouldn't have put the screen on the squiff? but it seemed a good design idea at the time.   The gratulerer (congratulations) is a Papirdesign die.  Confirmation is a big thing here in Norway, so always nice to have a few on hand for when the celebrations begin.   Everything except the base and panel are snippets.  The white card is an ex-tea box!!

NIce

Hello Nomad friends.  It's warmed up.  Not really ice cream warm, but I wanted to share this mini-slimline card using Poppystamps Grand Whittle Ice Cream Cone die.

It's kinda CAS, except for that crazy busy purple background.  Scraps were used for my caramel latte ice cream cone and for the sentiment strip, which is a bit wiggly, cos I have previously chopped up this lovely sentiment from Rubber Dance and I had to jiggle it back together.  I used extra scraps to layer up the ice cream cone so it pops a bit from the card base.

Thanks for dropping by.  Warm weather brought rain so I might just make a cuppa and hunker down for some more Saturday afternoon crafting.  Hugz

Oh Valentine

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy Valentines Day.  Hope you got a little extra love today.  I was doing a bit of gardening this afternoon, beating some errant ivy into submission, and then it snowed! Well!!  Really??!!  Luckily I did take a fun video of my hens attacking some lettuces before the white stuff came down.  I'll add it in at the end of the post just for some extra action, but first........

Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we are all about Fruit, Flower and Foliage all this month.  I incorporated a few hearts and flowers for this fun birthday card.

I used Lost Coast Designs Heart and Curls Border stamped down each side of my card panel with mulberry ink.  Then I masked and stamped Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Flower multiple times with sunflower ink.  I stamped, coloured and fussy cut Lost Coast Designs Day of the Dead Woman and added her to the bottom of the stamped panel.  Finally I added the Carmen's Veranda Hot and Sexy sentiment which I stamped on a scrap of white card.

It's Fruit, Flower and Foliage all this month at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity so don't forget to check out all the gorgeous makes from the team and link up your own for a chance to win.
