Christmas Mona

Hello Nomad friends.  I have some final inspiration for the Christmas in July challenge over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.  I have a tendency to steal Lost Coast Designs Santa Mona's hat and add it to other images, cos it's just so lovely and fluffy, but tonight Mona is keeping her hat on.  

I used Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background, Santa Mona, Grunge Border 2" and the Merry Christmas from the Party Words set.

Postcard From The Past

Hello Nomad friends.  Playing with fancy fold postcards today and a seaside theme.  Love this Girl on a Donkey from Crafty Individuals.  Reminds me of visits to the grands in Weston Super Mare, two flavour soft whippy ice cream, paddles in the sea when it was 'in' and, on special days, a ride on the donkeys.

 

I made my own background paper by stamping Crafty Individuals shell background tone on tone and cut it to fit the fold panels.  I stamped the girl on the donkey and coloured with distress markers.  The sentiment down each side is taken from Crafty Individuals Seaside printed paper book and the happy birthday is a Hero Arts stamp.

On Butterfly Wings

Hello Nomad friends.  I've made a card to send to a friend having a difficult time.   Sending love on butterfly wings.

White hammered card base, pink bazzill panel cut using a Marianne Design die.  Memory Box Gloriosa Butterfly cut from copper mirror card and backed with blue distress smooched paper.  The flower is Memory Box Arianna Sprig with a little copper heart added and the sentiment came from a Memory Box set in a magazine.

Driving Home For Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.  Hope you are having an awesome July.  I'm over on the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with a Christmas In July idea I had for Carmen's Veranda Old Truck and Lost Coast Designs Gnomes.  Unfortunately the original gnomes were too big, but now Linda is releasing mini versions and they fit perfectly.  Let's get merry......

I stamped Old Truck, the Mini Gnomes and part of Megan's Christmas Bird, coloured with watercolour pencils and fussy cut.  For the background I stamped Lost Coast Designs Trees in black, a yellow circle and gave the rest a blue watercolour wash.  

 

 

I put the baubles around the back of the truck and added mini Silly Gnome to the truck bed.  I did a bit of snipping and managed to get mini Pompom Gnome in the driving seat LOL.  I cut around the trees leaving a wide border at the bottom to be a snowy road, added the truck and stamped the Party Words Merry Christmas.

Sea Lion

Hello Nomad friends.  I seem to have misplaced a week!!  But seriously, who has summer??  It very unsettled here.  I need some sun to get my energy levels singing.  Please send.  

Best use of desk scraps.....   Made a background the other day and had this bit left over.  Decided to turn it into a Sea Lion scene.  

It's a distress oxide/distress ink smoochy background with added glitter.  I ripped a scrap of yellow paper to make the sand bars.  Harrison sizzix colourise die was cut from lots of brown scrap with a touch of black and pink.  The sentiment was sent to me by a friend.

I'd sail away with him.  He's so hansome!

Just Add A Hat

I've made a simple card today by adding a santa hat to the *NEW* Lost Coast Designs Mouse, who I have nicknamed Ta Dah!!!!!

 

Isn't he adorbs!!   The new stamps will be on the website soon.  The hat comes from Lost Coast Designs Santa Mona.

Hello Nomad friends.  I love a nice sale.  I often practice delayed gratification.  Jo, I can hear you laughing.  But sometimes you just gotta grab those new releases.  Waffle Flower has been all over the place with their postage series, and well done the little company for coming up with such a winner.  Then they came out with the seagulls and I couldn't resist.  The way they sold out lots of other people were in agreement.  So here's his first outing.  Expect more seagull scenes soon........

 Used lots of dies and scraps on this one.  Photobomb seagull!!!!

Say It Big

Hello Nomad friends.  Happy 4th July!!!
And it's Christmas in July at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity.

It's nice to make a few cards at a time and the heat of summer is the perfect time to think snowflakes and ice.  Especially if it's in a long drink LOL.  

No snowflakes or ice on this one, just an elf and a little red, white and blue.

I stamped Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background with Ice Blue ink and realised I really need to clean my stamps sometimes.  But it's quite a nice shade of uh, rose?? so I stamped the large Rectangle Shadow Frame with Carnation Red archival.  I'd stamped, coloured and fussy cut this little Carmen's Veranda Elf and decided all it needed was a big sentiment.  License Plate Alphabet to the rescue.....

Hello Harrison

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the 2nd of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge reveal.  

Make a card, send a card, get a card.  Everyone gets a card.  Everyone is a winner!!!

Many of our players are regulars, but there is always room for newbies.  We are missing many countries off our list of global domination, and can you believe we are still missing 9 of the 50 USA states!!  I love having to make mentions for new players, countries and states.  Make my day!!!!

We had 26 players in June and my card went to Daja in Germany.

I used the sketch, colours, and foil options.  This is Harrison, sizzix colorize dies.  First time out of the box.  Isn't he awesome!!!  I used patterned paper for the stripey background and the foiled panels.  I got creative with the sentiment panel, cutting it to shape and using a grey marker to give his pedestal a little dimension.

Christmas In July

Hello Nomad friends.  Yes, I'm saying the C word!!!  Let's kickstart the crazy season!!!!

The new challenge at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity is Christmas In July.

More C words....... CAS!!   Maybe not super simple, but definitely lots of lovely space for my oh so sweet Roly Jester.

How cute is he!!!!  

I used Lost Coast Designs ATC Doodle Circles with blue ink for that whole snowball feeling.

Had to go with a red green colours on Roly Jester and my wonky stamped on the card sentiments straightened up on small card pieces.
