Going Green

Hello Nomad friends.  Top of the morning to you.  Happy St Patricks Day.  May all your leprechauns be lucky.  In celebration of my irish friends, of which I have one, I rolled out this fine fellow from Pink and Main.  He's my paddy's day go to......

I went with yellow base card and panel, embossing the panel with Pink and Main Garden Gate embossing folder and smearing with twisted citron distress ink.  I stamped Pink and Main Lucky Charm on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from the P&M Good Vibes set and I used a spellbinders die for the fancy panel.

Enjoy your day.  We will be eating traditional St Patricks Day fare, lasagne.

A Meaningful Lie Detector

Hello Nomad friends.  I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some seriously funny inspiration for the Make It Funny Challenge.

I used Lost Coast Designs Leaves Background with prickly pear distress ink.  The jury is out on whether the stamp or the ink pad is slightly contaminated with lingering autumn shades LOL.  Then I stamped Lost Coast Designs Face With Feathers and the Carmen's Veranda sentiment with black archival ink.  I tried colouring directly onto the panel with my gel pens, but it wasn't working, so I stamped the face on white card, coloured, fussy cut the bits and glued them in place.

Carmen's Veranda have so many funny, profound and meaningful sentiments do hop over and check them out.  New ones added regularly to the top of the page.
You have all month to share your funny stamped anythings. Please read the updated rules before entering. Real rubber or clear stamping and theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast $$$$$'s.   We need at least 20 entries to award the prize.

Lamby

Hello Nomad friends.  Finally, I have used these dies that I have had for ages.  What a cute result.  Might have to crank my die cutting arm into mass production.  I think a herd of these would be delightful.

I used Creative Craft Products Easter Lamb Egg Holder dies.

The Notorious Hamster

Hello Nomad friends.  Are you feeling the green??  Spring is my favourite time for greens, with all the shades appearing as flora awakens.  And then there's St Patrick’s Day.  I think this mouse is practising....

I've used a myriad of green patterned papers and House Mouse Cheers stamp coloured with distress markers.  The wine sentiment is by Funky Fossil and the cute little curls are cut with Spellbinders dies, one of which got hijacked by gremlins literally under my nose!!!   I do hope it reappears soon.   The gremlins have been very troublesome recently.  I think it's something to do with lunar eclipses and galloping retrogrades.

Pop Up Egg

Hello Nomad friends.  I am having a creative day.  I was actually playing with Alice the other day, along with the queen of hearts, but the idea has progressed, and I gotta say I love the result!!!!

I had so much fun with this!!!    After all these years I still don't have a huge egg shaped die so I hand cut the egg shaped card.  Please excuse the wobbly edges.  The scene got built around Paper Nest Dolls Alice who was stamped on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  I used a piece of UHK Gallery patterned paper for the egg layer then scraps of patterned and plain card for my scene details.  I used Poppystamps Whittle Field and Tree die for the trees and the field, Poppystamps Leaping Little Bunnies dies for the little bunnies, and Poppystamps Echo Blossom dies for the clouds.  Hey, it's wonderland!!!   We can have flower shaped patterned paper clouds if we want.

Then I truly had a moment and turned it into an easel card, which made it perfectly wonderful!!

Happy International Womens Day

Hello Nomad friends.  Today is all about celebrating women and I am taking some time for myself to craft.  I made this cute little tag using found items and a sentiment from Aall and Create.

I cut the tag base and corrugated layer with Daisy Mae distressed tag dies.   The layered label and tiny flowers are Spellbinders cuts.  I attached the tag with tiny heart brads.  The art doll is from an Art by Marlene die cut pad and a bit of fancy wool to finish.

Fling Your Flamingo

Hello Nomad friends.  It was really springy out in the garden today.  Bit of sun, not much wind, so first midday coffee break in the garden this year, and also first lot of laundry line drying this year.  Win win!!

The De Egel challenge of Fairytale is ending very soon and I have been meaning to join in.  They kindly dropped a reminder this afternoon, so while I ate my dinner Mr Mojo ruminated on our options, and reminded me I have these Paper Nest Doll stamps barely used.  So cute, and perfect for the young ladies, so I grabbed some Memory Box dies and went birthday

I used some patterned paper for my panel and then cut Memory Box Leafy Tree Frame from yellow holographic mirror card.  Isn't that pretty!!!   I stamped Paper Nest Doll Queen of Hearts on white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  The happy birthday is from Memory Box Floral Window stamp/die set.

Sky Pig

Hello Nomad friends.  It's the second of the month so time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  This card is also being showcased at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where this month we are all about FUNNY.  I have used this wonderful sentiment from Carmen's Veranda more than once on my Card Chain Challenge cards and this pig suited the farm animal option, so win-win.

Funny wasn't one of the Card Chain Challenge options, but I did want to use clouds and this sentiment for friendship, so a flying pig seemed a reasonable idea to go with the farm animal option.  I also hit the fussy cut option, so not quite the whole hog, but covering quite a few options this month LOL.
For the background I fussy cut a scrap of paper into a cloudline shape and simply blended distress ink on my card base.  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the inked cardbase and then stamped the Flying Pig on a piece of card, coloured with distress markers, fussy cut and glued him in the sky.   Then I sent this card to Gail in Canada as part of the Card Chain Challenge international card exchange.

If you would like to see the whole REVEAL there were 24 awesome artists sending amazing cards flying around the world this month.

I Say I Say I Say

Hello Nomad friends.  Gosh, March!!   Month of the mad March hares and all things FUNNY!!!  Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we want you to share your FUNNY stamped anythings.  No digi nonsense now.   Real rubber or clear stamping must be the feature of your hilariousness.

I've made a bottle tag using Carmen's Veranda Kukla and Bottom of Wine Bottle sentiment.  I feel my childhood may have been more fun if Kukla and Ollie had been a part of it, but I think they were on the wrong side of the pond for me.

This little dude just makes me smile and with so many fun sentiments over at Carmen's Veranda it's easy to bring a smile along with the bottle.  I used an Avery Elle bottle tag die and splashed around the edge with various distress oxide inks.  I stamped Kukla on a separate piece of white card, coloured with distress markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment was stamped directly on the tag.

Don't forget to hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity for more fun and amazing art from the team.  We share all month, every month and we would love for you to visit and leave a little love and an entry or two in our linky.  We need at least 20 entries to award a real stamp prize.  See you there....

Vintage Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Hello Nomad friends.  Last card of the month and I fancied a bit of vintage style christmas.

I've used a Stampendous stamp called Postcard Santa and I stamped with brown archival and distress ink, then spritzed with water to cause the distress ink to run.  After everything dried out I added some distress ink and gel pen colour to the santa.

Twirling Tulips

Hello Nomad friends.  More flowers!!   Must be having a moment.

Spellbinders have some lovely embossing folders and this one is called Twirling Tulips.  I started with a piece of patterned card and inked the inside of my folder with black archival.  Then I added some distress marker green to the stems and touches of orange to the blooms.  The sentiment Spellbinders Sweet Birthday stamp set and I cut it with lovely fancy die from Spellbinders Filligree 8 Point Star set.

OK, I'm off out for a few hours.   Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Pop Up Christmas

Hello Nomad friends.   Nothing like a bit of after midnight crafting to wake Mr Mojo up!!!   I've been playing with this idea for a while and decided it's now or never!   Well, now or never this month LOL.

Well, that's rather anti-climaxical isn't it!!!

Try this!!!!

Isn't he adorbs!

I've used Karen Burniston Bitty Ball dies for my pop-up singer.   The text is the Norwegian version of Silent Night.  The snowy snowflake papers are from a Panduro pad and my singer is built mostly from Bazzill with a bit of handmade paper for his clothes.

I'm using a belly band to keep the card closed and decorated the bit underneath with some more of the same papers and a little rose gold mirror.  Difficult to see but there's a snowflake in the middle cut using Memory Box Snowflake Collage die to allow the mirror card to show through.  The stamp is by Papirdesigns.  The wavy circle die is by Kort og Godt.

Pot of Flowers

Hello Nomad friends.   I am having an inspired end of month and decided to go all floral.  Well, that's a rarity for me, but the Towering Blooms die from Spellbinders is just such fun to use.

I've paired pinks with black for a nice colour pop, and used Spellbinders beautiful Punch and Pierce Frame for some nice dramatic effect.  That spikey edge is so cool!!   Wonder how it will travel through the post?  Like a hedgehog maybe....... Re-inforced envelope required bwahahhaaahahahaaaa.

Star Bright Star Light

Hello Nomad friends.  I hope you are all well and staying safe and warm.  It's very windy here this evening but at least we are just about a snow free zone again.  I'm sharing a starry CAS make this evening using a Funky Fossil die called Starry Spiral.

I added glitter behind the stars and a simple thank you stamp from Time For Tea.
