Polly Want a Cracker

Hello Nomad friends!!  Today I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where we are off to a flying start (ho ho ho Joanne) with our Winged Things Challenge.  Anything stamped featuring a thing with wings.  We need at least 20 entries to award the prize so please tell your friends.  It's been ages since I have been able to give away any of Linda's lovely stamps, so help me start the year with a giveaway bang.

I have paired Lost Coast Designs gorgeous Polly Parrot and Flagstone Background with some bright neon colours to brighten your day.

I stamped the parrot, masked and stamped the Flagstone Background with hero art neon ombre ink pad for a multicolour effect.  I coloured Polly Parrot with neon gel pens and stamped the Party Words sentiment with pink ink.

You have until the end of the month to share your stamped anythings featuring things with wings. Please read the updated rules before entering. Real rubber or clear stamping and theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast $$$$$'s. 1st - 31st January.

Fire Horse

Hello Nomad friends.  My ongoing perpetual resolution to use the scraps!!!  Despite my best intentions scrap mountain range continues to grow.  My new system last year was doing really well holding the small scraps, but then it got a little overwhelmed as well.  So I grabbed the red box and went all fiery and horse.

2026 Year of the Fire Horse.  I used loads of scraps!!  Hurrah!!!!  And the photo is one I took of a huge bonfire.  I  kept clicking and ended up with a few very cool pictures.  Looks like a horse to me!!   I've layered red spiky scraps on red along the bottom, so I lost the definition a bit, but added some interesting yellow/gold circles for contrast and embossed texture.  The horse is a fuzzy lemon die, a particular favourite of mine.  Everything here was already lurking in my scraps, except the horse, which I cut from that fun red patterned paper.  I pieced everything together and mounted on a gold card base.

Here's the red scrappy box I got most of these pieces from, cos I know the snippets ladies love to see these.  It's a lot tidier now and a few rogue green and blue bits have found their way to their proper boxes.  Votes on a postcard for the next colour scheme LOL.

She's Got The Look

Hello Nomad friends.   The snow has mostly melted, although the ground is still hard and quite soggy now.  It seemed a good day to be in and make.  I've been playing with some Funky Fossil stamps, dies and patterned paper to make a card full of love.

I used some scrap card to pop up the hearts to give a 2 layer eclipse effect.

Flying Egyptian

Hello Nomad friends!  Middle of the month already and time for a reminder about the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity WINGED THINGS challenge.   They are already some beautiful entries in the linky and the team is making so much lovely inspiration.  We need 20 entries to award the prize so do please consider supporting us.  I've made a journal page with the most beautiful Flying Egyptian on a brusho background.

Loving this quite a lot.  I stamped  Lost Coast Designs Flying Egyptian and Carmen's Veranda Dream on a 20cm x 20cm page.  Then I went a bit spritzy with sea green and turquoise brushos.  I stamped the  Flying Egyptian again on white card, watercoloured with some of the brusho run off and fussy cut.  I added the egyptian and the Find Your Happy Place sentiment, stamped on white card and chopped up, to the page and distressed and added a little black ink to the edges.

You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring things with wings. Please read the updated rules before entering. Real rubber or clear stamping and theme must be the focus of your project for a chance to win Lost Coast $$$$$'s. 1st - 31st January.

A Very Good Year

Hello Nomad friends.  It certainly is chilly here in Norwayland, and we had a nice covering of snow the other day which is still hanging around.
I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity today with some inspiration for the Winged Things Challenge.  I've used Lost Coast Design's beautiful Mini Maritime Collage stamp which features this lovely stork.

I made a simple masculine birthday card in muted tones.  I started with some pale grey card and stamped the Maritime Collage with brown archival ink and cut it as a long panel.  Then I stamped again on more of the pale grey card using black and midnight blue archival ink.  I fussy cut the black light house and the blue stork and added them to the panel.  Then I mounted centrally on a white card base and stamped the Happy Birthday using Lost Coast Designs Misc. Words.

My winged things are super unimpressed with the white stuff!!! That's my new rooster Rocky and a couple of his dark ladies keeping their feet out of the cold stuff.

You have all month to share your stamped anythings featuring things with wings. Hop over to the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity and join the fun.  The team are sharing awesome inspiration throughout the month.

Fantastic Flower

Hello Nomad friends.  The second of the month and time for the December Card Chain Challenge Reveal.  We simplified the options for the busiest time of the year so it was used a NBUS, three favourite colours and an animal OR a flower OR a fruit.  Here's the card I sent to Alice in Finland.

My NBUS is this fantastic flower die from Spellbinders, my colours were blue, black and white and it's a flower.  I've got a Gummiapan postage die cut black layer on my black card base and I used white glitter card for the stars and leaves.   The stars were cut from the same glitter card using a sizzix die and the second layer of the flower was coloured with brushos.

If you would like to see all the cards that were sent this month hop over and check out the REVEAL

If you would like to join the fun the November SIGN UP is open until the 6th

Happy New Year

Hello Nomad friends.   Happy New Year.  I hope you have had a wonderful festive season and are ready for another year of crafty awesomeness.  It's gonna be great!!!    Mr Mojo finally showed up for the party when I was putting a few finishing touches to some last minute embellishments.   I am particularly taken with these little napkin rings I made and feel they could also be good wine glass markers with just a few design tweeks........

I used some scraps from Alchemy of Art offcuts for the serviette rings and cut the stars from a glitter foam sheet.  The little gnomes are Craft o'Clock printed dingsens.  Aren't they cute!!!!

Luckily there were six of these scraps

So I made 6, cos we were 6 last night.   Adorbs!!!
