An Interesting Experiment with Stamping

Hello Nomad friends.  Tis the merry month of May!!!!   Well, the calendar says that but mother nature still seems to be clinging to winter.  It's not warm and the brave spring flowers are looking a little battered, but we live in hope that the wind will turn and spring will bounce in.  Over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity we want you to play with Paper Piecing.  Now I am a fussy cutting fan, so this is right up my alley.  It also gives me great expectations of conquering scrap mountain.  Well, at least a scrap hillock.  Here's my card using Lost Coast Designs wonderful Dark Girl Geisha

I stamped Dark Girl Geisha on various scraps and snipped away until I had a nice collection of bits to piece together.

I found some narrow strips in shades of yellow, orange and gold, pieced them together and stamped with Lost Coast Designs Concentric Circle Background and dandelion archival ink.  It stamped quite well actually, even on the pearlescent embossed bit.   Emboldened, I stamped the Carmen's Veranda sentiment and added my paper pieced girl.

Join the paper piecing fun with your stamped anythings for a chance to win Lost Coast dollars.

Thanks for dropping by.  Oooh, sunshine.......  Hugz

Your paper piecing is marvelous!
I am not a fussy cutting fan, unless it's kinda BIG pieces!!

Our weather is exactly the same Gail, even when they forecast a sunny day it was dull and ended up raining. Your oriental image is very sweet and it's a lovely background for her, many thanks for sharing at Allsorts and Stamping Sensations challenges.

It's much too cold here too and the frost we had a few days ago sadly damaged all of the blossoms on my Rhododendron shrub :(
Great card design and fun sentiment! It's perfect for our optional theme at Allsorts challenge, thanks so much for joining us this week!

Terrific bit of paper piecing using your snippets up and a super background too. Thanks for sharing a photo of your snippets.

Thanks for submitting homework to the SNIPPETS PLAYGROUND. Come up to the treehouse to find out what illicit goodies I have inside my satchel while Miss Di isn’t looking! x
