Red, White and Blue, a Sketch and a Pineapple

Hello Nomad friends.  Today I am over at the Lost Coast Portal to Creativity with some Red, White and Blue inspiration.  It's not surprizing that so many flags use this combination of colours.  What a striking effect they make.  So grab your reds, whites and blues and your stamps and join the fun!!

I've used the De Egel sketch for the basis of my card layout and indulged in some tone on tone stamping.  Lost Coast Designs have so many lovely background stamps that can turn a flat piece of coloured card into a masterpiece.  I used Lost Coast Designs Fruitpods Background, stamped with dark blue ink on mid blue card base for the background.  I stamped Flagstone Background using red ink on red card and cut it with a fishtail pennant die.  The stamped Carmen's Veranda White Cat on white card, masked and randomly stamped Carmen's Veranda Pineapple using light blue ink all around the cat.  I didn't use a block, just inked the stamp and rolled it lightly around the cat, reinking between stamping.  I cut some scraps with a thin fishtail pennant die, stamped the sentiment and added some heart brads to finish.
