G is for Giraffe

Hello.  Welcome.  So where did that two weeks go???   Jane has put up the new dictionary challenge at the Craft Barn and I suddenly realised my G altered playing card was no where to be seen.  So I looked through my box of scraps and found a partly coloured giraffe.  Since I had started to colour it pink I decided to go with that......

I didn't intend to use Giraffe but this little cutie from Flonzcraft was just too endearing

I was playing with the idea of a vellum layer when I came across this Buddha paper from Craft Creations.  It's made up of these beautiful leaf skeletons and allows the playing card back to still be seen.   I quite like this look

Ah yes, well......  I got this feather die out last week to join a challenge with the theme of feathers and it never got used.  So for some reason, and I'm blaming it on the girl next door, I had a vision that a load of pink feathers would look like a pink banana tree.  No comments about continental incompatibilities please

I added the definition from the OED and G is for Giraffe

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

  4. An unexpected combination of elements, Gail, but they do work perfectly together!! Love your wee giraffe who, by the way, fits perfectly on your altered playing card! Bravo!

  6. The feather die cuts make a perfect tree to shade your cute giraffe from the sun.
