Hurrah, Help! and a Giveaway

Hello.  Welcome.  I have finished my altered playing card deck!!  Much happy dancing.  I only had one joker left and here it is

I used the giraffe from Rubber Dance African Animals and paper tape for the card background.  I stamped, embossed and fussy cut a herd of giraffe and arranged them on my card.  Familie Giraffe.  Smile.

This works well for the Rubber Dance challenge this month which is black, white and a colour of your choice.  In this case orange.  Love B&W+1.  So looking forward to seeing your ideas.  Are you going to join us??

I was also working on my DT piece this afternoon.  I have had to change my plan because my original idea just wasn't working.  That's how it goes sometimes.  So I had the black and white all sewn up but couldn't decide on my third colour.  I thought I'd ask you.   And I thought I send a little surprise to one person who joins in with my little game.  Please leave me a comment letting me know how much you like my giraffes LOL.  If you want to be in the draw for a surprise please include a colour you think I should use in my next project and whether you think the surprise should include a stamp, a die or an embossing folder.  I will ask Mr Random to draw a winner.  Sometime before the next full moon.  Not sure when that is!  Will have to look it up. (Rebecca says it's Jan 23rd so lets go with that!!) CLOSED Winner announced HERE

PS.  Don't worry Bibi.  I have already decided which colour to use LOL.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

  3. Love your giraffes. They are rally Cool πŸ˜„πŸ˜„. When not use blue as your entra colour! Blue like the Beautiful sky will be this morning with the stars disappearing ,as the sky will be during the day, very bright and clear , as the sky in Norway gets when it is Cold and clear weatherπŸ˜€ . Or just blue from freezing as I feel now , after getting out the horses and clearing out the stable... Brrrrrr freezing πŸ™€πŸ™€πŸ™€πŸ™€

  14. Giraffes are one of my favorite creatures, besides cats of course! Love your curious group peering out of your altered card. Just like the inquisiitive ones at a zoo, which always make me smile. Congratulations on completing your deck!!!

How fun to make suggestions to go with black and white....depending on my mood I might choose something dramatic like red, or soothing like taupe, or cool like ice blue, or graphic like gray. Today I look out my window and see pine green with black and white, so I will go wintery. Now what should the surprise be???? ANY of those would be wonderful, but though some people "never say die", I will say "die". Ha! Thanks for the chance to win.

  16. Very nice. I love the way you arranged the giraffe and it also reminds a cool fact about giraffe i.e The giraffe spots are much like our fingerprints. No two individual giraffes have exactly the same pattern. Love this gentle creatures.
Since the background color is orange and black I prefer grey color to color the image. Thanks for the chance to win the surprise giveaway.

  17. Ah . . cute! The giraffe family is a fabulous idea. And congrats on finishing your deck of cards. I think red should be your third color. Black, white and red, oh yeah! And I love dies. : ) Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.

  18. In answer to your questions, definitely red! Love dies, stamps AND embossing folders--hard to chose just one!

  19. I love your giraffe! They are so very sweet. Well, I have to say red should be your next color because Valentine's Day is right around the corner & so B&W&Red is perfect! I am going to say dies because that's where my stash needs some help ... maybe you will help. lol Thanks, Iona, for the chance to win (I think the next full moon is Jan 23rd haha).

  20. HI Gail, I've enjoyed watching you create cards through MFP challenges and peeking at your blog from time to time. I love your giraffe family, and what a sweet idea! I would like to suggest purple as a third color to your black and white theme. It could be either a soft lavender or a deep rich purple. Good luck on your entry and thanks so much for letting me play along......this is fun!!

  21. Oh, and I agree the prize should be a random drawing of your choice, because any of them would be awesome!!

  22. I say Turquoise with the black and white since I'm partial to blues. I'm also a die girl, can't seem to make a card without one, so I'd say die. Love the altered playing card!
