Shake Your Penguin

Hello.  Welcome.  Hope you are having a fantatsic day.  A few weeks ago Simon Says Stamp had a shaker card challenge.  I was really going to give this a go but time just seemed to slip away.  Then LaVon sent me a fabulous fish shaker card for July's CCC.  So I decided it was time to make my own.

I stamped my card base with Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes stamp and embossed with white embossing powder.  Then I coloured with different blue inks and cut an aperture using Taylored Expressions Tag Stacklets 1 dies.  Love that tag shape.   For the shaker I used an LOTV image Presents Penguin from the Winter Wonderland art pad.  I've filled the shaker with Beadazzles, glitter and some snowflake and stars confetti.  Maybe a little too heavy with the glitter!!!   Looks like penguin might have to wade through some deep sparkles.

The tag I cut out was too pretty to waste so I added some wool and a God Jul (Merry Christmas) stamp from Panduro.  I like that the embossed snowflakes still show through the black ink.  I also added a Wink of Stella clear to the black stamped area to give it a bit more bling.

  5. Wow...these are both gorgeous. I love shaker cards, although I don't tend to make many, just because they take a little longer...LOL
