No Gun, No Getaway Car

Hello.  Welcome.  This very strange project started after I saw Lesley's post over at the PaperArtsy #3UP this week.  If you haven't popped over you are missing out.  There's even a little something from me.  Anyway. Lesley was doing very fun things with the cat from PaperArtsy EDY06 stamp set.  So I stamped a load of cats and coloured with sharpies, cut off their heads, their tails and legs, and put them back together is a very cute way.  No Frankenstein here you know.  Then one fell on this postcard

I was in Nille the other day.  That's a bit like Woolworths.  Reasonably priced household stuff.   Anyway I checked the crafty bit and they had had some new papers in including these packs of kraft with various black prints on them.  Ooh loverly.  When I got home I found one had this lovely print and it reminded me of Stampotiques Postcard challenge.  So I cut it a postcard size.  Then a cat fell out of the sky....

I decided I needed contrast.  I started by painting with gesso on the LHS and stamping with the flower heads from EDY06 but I didn't like.  So I stamped and fussy cut loads of the flower heads and then stuck them to the postcard.  Then I added the cat

I don't know.  Maybe he's a snow leopard.   I decided nonsense art was OK on the bright and sunny Sunday.  Thanks to Lesley for this inspiration and to all the brave #3UPers for such fabulous projects this week.  If you missed it start here and if you missed mine check out my post here.
