Hard Rock - A Study in Silence

Hello Nomad friends.  Llama tell you, the Atacama dessert is the driest desert in the world.  Most of it is in northern Chile and it contains a fast fashion clothes mountain that can be seen from space.  Personally I find that mind boggling.  Not that we discard so many clothes, since humans seem to be a particularly wasteful and careless species, but that they have been dumped/are being dumped in such a remote location in such enormous quantities.  No wonder this llama looks so thoughtful.

I used a Kort og Godt patterned card for my card base that made me think of hard pan and marble.  I found a pale scrap of patterned paper and ripped it to give my llama somewhere to stand.  I stamped and die cut Hero Arts Llama and lots of clouds from the Cowboy Adventure stamp set on lots of little white scraps.  So glad for those little cloud dies LOL.

Thanks for dropping by. Hugz

  3. A super card - llamas are so appealing. It's incredible to hear that waste clothing is being dumped in such wild and far flung places. It's no wonder that this lovely creature is looking disgusted. Thank you for sharing this card with us at Allsorts.

  6. A super monochromatic card, the colour definitely bring to mind sand and desert, lovely little llama too. Thanks for sharing at Stamping Sensations.
PS Your story of the discarded clothes mountain in the middle of the desert is horrific- mankind has a lot to answer for.

  8. That is a terrible fact, yet I’m glad to know it. Does that make sense?
Your card, on the other hand, is adorable. A cute and pensive llama. I am glad you had the dies for those clouds too. I don’t mind a little fussy cutting but sometimes… 😬😂

  9. You've made a great scene for your llama to roam, and that torn piece can be considered an edge too. ; ) Thanks for sharing your card with us at Time Out.
