Starship Friends

Hello Nomad friends.  The second of the month and time for the Card Chain Challenge Reveal.

20 fabulous artists shared their handmade cards and sent them winging their way around the world, carrying love and friendship in every envelope.  I am so proud to be a link in this awesome chain.  I was thinking about it yesterday as I was putting the final touches to the reveal that this is actually quite an amazing thing.  Started by Deborah Nolan, running since 2009, and we are creeping out way towards 5,000 cards exchanged.  That is quite an achievement.  If you are involved, or have ever been involved, then give yourself a pat on the back and take my love and gratitude for your participation and support.

My card went to Jo in the UK.  Jo, my partner in craft, my strong right hand, my backup and pick up when things get tricky, my very good friend.  Glad you liked my experimental card making bwahahhahaahhaaaaaaaa.......

I saw a thing, and had an idea, and this pop up sentiment card was the result.  I used the Card Chain Challenge options of More than 3 folds and Friendship

I started with some Tonic Studio patterned paper, scored and folded my mechanism.

♪ Star trekking across the universe,
Always going forwards cos we can't find reverse ♪

Ahhh, yes......   Back to planet earth.   Another piece of the Tonic paper on my card base and my space defying popup mounted on top.  I stamped Lost Coast Designs Pokey Cat with a bit of maskery trickery on the card, then on plain card, fussy cut and added the daring duo to their stamped selves.  I did some square die cutting for the layered sentiment panels and stamped Carmen's Veranda Best Friends on the front, then mounted it on the mechanism.  It pops out a bit from the card base,in a fun and floppy manner.

Lift the flap for a second endearment.....

The Lost Coast Portal to Creativity has a Cats and Dogs theme this month so if you are stamping and featuring Cats and/or Dogs we would love to see you link up.

If you want to see all the cards exchanged this month hop over and check out the REVEAL

If you would like to join the card exchange fun the SIGN UP is open

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz
