Stargazing Guest Elfing Giveaway

Hello Nomad friends.  Is the sun a bright, shining ball of fire with you too??  We have been enjoying seeing so much of it the last few weeks.

That said, I'm guest elfing over at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge this month and the new theme is Bunnies!!  I have a sneeky suspicion that the lovely Jo was thinking of me a bit with this one!  I love my bunnies, and it was my birthday yesterday, so in the spirit of birthday's I have a little giveaway.  Bunny themed of course!!  But first, my card.........

Squueeee!!   When I saw this stamp I couldn't resist.  It's called Falling Star by Nellie Snellen and I loved the cute bunny pulling his little reindeer on a sleigh.  I cut the card base using Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die.  I used an embossing folder for the snowflakes and sentiment at the top of the card and tinted them with Stormy Sky distress ink.  I stamped the bunny onto the card and coloured with Promarkers and gel pens.  I smeared more Stormy sky for the ground and added glitter.  Some more glitter on bunny's hat and a gold star brad to cover the stamped falling star. To finish I found a tiny white with sliver tinsel pom-pom and added it for bunny's tail.

OK, here's what's on offer.  The cute bunny stamp and embossing folder I used on my card.  For your chance to win please leave me a comment including the magic word BUNNY.  If you link up a bunny/hare themed card over at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge then pop back and leave another comment with your entry number for an extra chance or three.  You know how it is with bunnies!!  Giveaway will close May 6th.
Check out my hat!!!  Might have to get some bunny ears on that!!

Thanks for dropping by.  Stay tuned for more bunny fun and more giveaways, probably involving bunnies!!!  Hugz

  1. Humongous Happy BUNNY Birthday wishes to you, Gail!!! I hope your birthday was super and that you are still celebrating!! How lovely that we can extend the party with your fun giveaway and the coordinating challenge over at Jo's Christmas Kickstart!!

Love your adorable card! That image is so sweet. Your coloring is wonderful and that tinsel pom is perfect for the bunny's sweet little cotton tail!! The star brad really adds interest, too. Wonderful wintery card.

For the bunny theme, I ran and pulled out a fabulous stamp you sent me during one of your sweet Bunny Hops which I think will adapt nicely to a Christmas card. Yay!!

[Overthinking begins...] I think that stamp is a hare, though....looks a little too muscular and long-legged for a rabbit. Don't bunnies usually hibernate in cold climes??? (I'm reaching back to my Biology major college days here....which was a looooooong time ago!! Ha.) Hardly any Americans know the difference between rabbits and hares, anyway, so I can plead cultural ignorance!!! But no matter....Jo says hares count, too. So I'm good whichever way. LOL... [/overthinking]

Happy hoppy birthday to you, Gail!!! This is going to be a fun challenge. Congrats on Guest Elfing again....and you def need to put bunny ears on that elf hat!! :)

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment Janis. Hares welcome. Bunnies don't hibernate, so don't tend to live in really cold climates. Rabbits are not native to Norway, but a few escapees manage to survive. Hares are native here. I think they are actually different families (taxonomically speaking) and have totally different living, eating, breeding styles. But for our purposes here we are OK with rabbits or hares. Hugz

  7. Happy happy birthday to Gail, and congrats on your guest elf appearance! Bunnies have a special place in my heart...whether for Christmas or anytime. When my children were small, we did rabbit rescue and had up to 13 rabbits at a time. They were all neutered and paired up...and some of them even lived in the house. I haven't heard of Nellie Snellen images but this one is just the sweetest!

  8. Good grief, I left a comment and told you more than you wanted to know about my past in rabbit rescue, but probably forgot to say the word BUNNY when all was said and done, haha! So, just to make sure...I made sure to say it this time.
